Calvery Cemetery Aurora, Illinois
Carol I am a member of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. We do a lot of cemetery restoration of Civil War Veterans in the Western Suburbs.

On, you have at least 10 memorials of Civil War Veterans that you created in 2002. I am just curious if you have done research on Civil War Veterans in this area.

I was thinking of promoting a project where we would go in and clean and/or straighten markers, and even obtain new ones from the Veterans Affairs, if the old marker is broken
or unreadable. On of the problems we face is we can not even find out who is responsible for this cemetery. The Diocese does not have any burial records, and they are not even
certain if the Cemetery (almost abandon) is in rockford, Joliet, or Chicago Diocese.

If you have any information or perhaps you have done research on this topic please let me know. Thanking you in advance,

Winifred O'Hora
Hello. I am doing research on my grandmother's family, the O'Horas. Her branch lived mainly in Wisconsin but I know that her great grandparents were married in Pennsylvania. Her great grandfather, Anthony, had a mother named Winifred Gillespie. I wondered if you knew whether or not the Winifred O'Hora in Illinois is the same person. Any help is appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Hi Carol,
It's Alexis Tierney, I live right behind you! So cool that you're into genealogy, too! If you ever want to get together and talk about findings, let me know!
