Hi Sharon,

You're welcome for the marker photos! I think you thanked me already for them years ago, but if you're thanking me again you're still welcome ...

RE: Zebofsky
Glad we could help. BTW, I noted that the last name is slightly different with the "e" on the headstone. I am finding that throughout our family too. Take care.

RE: Max Chaikin photo

Transfers complete on Tevie and Stera. I only edited the spelling of one. I didn't catch it on the other before I transferred. Sorry.

Let me know if you decide you or someone else wants Sam and Mary.

I did not go all the way to the back of that section. There may have been others. If you call the office, they will read the ledger for the entire society and tell you if there are others and then I will go photo them.

RE: Max Chaikin photo

I have added the following memorials to Washington Cemetery with photos. They are all with a few graves of each other and all near Max.

Samuel Chaiken
Mary Chaiken
Tevie Shmuel Chaiken
Stera Feige Chaiken

If you know someone who can translate the stones, I am sure it would be helpful.

If you decide you are related, I will be happy to transfer the memorials to you.

Good luck.

hI -

There were a few stones with the same last name nearby. I took photos of all of them if you are interested.

Yes, paper trumps marker ... sometimes people end up working off of barely legible records and errors crop up. But I have seen plenty of markers that had incorrect information on them as well.

His father, Leizor Tokar, was born in Tyczyn, Poland which is still part of Poland.
