Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a historian, genealogist and cemetery buff living in Raleigh, North Carolina.

My personal genealogical interests are mostly in the Philadelphia area; surnames include Helms, Colflesh, Schick, Henry, Pile, Harned, Stroup and Mowday.

I am also researching my family in northwest Pennsylvania; surnames here include Monago, Monaco, Leone, Monti and Saplesa.

My academic research focuses on a number of prominant reconstruction-era families in the Alamance County area including Long, Wood and Albright. I'm also deeply involved in research about the Rollin White family in Massachusetts.

I do a lot of "row mowing" with my camera and I'm happy to transfer ownership of a memorial to friends and family of the deceased.

Swanson/Gupton Cemetery, Franklin Co
Could you give me directions as to where this cemetery is located in Franklin Co. I have friends with ancestors buried there and they have not been able to locate it. I also have both names in my family tree.

With the easy availability of NC death certificates, I can see NC being linked in a few years. My NC people are "Newton" per DNA, but while I have helped lots of people find their families, I haven't figured out where we connect into the Newton family. Although I am a fast and accurate typer and have enjoyed transcribing cemeteries, I have spent the last couple of years trying to update and link the ones I have already built. I am careful who I transfer memorials to since there are so many people who request mass transfers then quickly lose interest. [or die] If I own any of your people just let me know. Debra
