Grace King

Try as I may, I couldn't find anything new on Grace that wasn't already mentioned in her obituary. The obituary tells us that she was a delightful lady - I wish I had the pleasure of knowing her, myself; we would have had many interests in common.

RE: Grace King, etc...
Wow - thanks for that! I just know there must be a bunch of Hockings out there. I've updated the 3 you transferred, but will look at them again tomorrow to make sure I didn't leave anything out or make any mistakes. Right now it's bedtime here in Missouri. On very rare occasion, I add someone who has been especially nice to my "friends" list on Find A Grave. I like to keep track of the "friendlies", if you know what I mean. May I add you to that list? Have a good night, and thanks for all you've done.

Jeff :)

I'll provide you every scrap of info I can dig up. It's quite kind of you to do some plantings. Do you ever go out to Graceland Cemetery, in Mineral Point? There are some Hockings buried there, as well. I know for certain of two, but I strongly suspect some other of Graces kin are there too. Many died in Mineral Point, or had lived there.

Thank you for the transfers. Grace would have been my 2nd cousin, also. It's wonderful that you knew her. I'm just now researching all of Ira & Charity's children. Grace's grandparents were my 3rd great-grandparents. And yes, those photos, or copies of them, would be wonderful to have. If you maintain Grace's memorial, I think that YOU should hang onto it, especially since you knew her. I can give you all the info I can muster out of the records for you to add as you see fit. I haven't looked at her memorial yet, so don't know what's already there. I do hope you will look at the memorials you've transferred once I've added what I have. I do appreciate your kindness, a lot.

RE: Edward R Hunter
Yes, I was helping someone named Becky. She wanted to know where her family were buried and I found your findagrave entry. She was so happy with it. I also gave Edward R Hunters parents from Wisconsin that I have sent along to her. Here is her e-mail address

She said I gave her a whole branch of the family. Maybe you two can work it together.

Thanks for getting back so quickly

Hi, Becky. I was just going thru my email and found that I still owed you a couple of request. Sorry for the delay, but both pix are now requested. If there are any others I have forgotten about just lemme know.

"I will make a photo request for every LITTLEJOHN (and most of their relatives) found anywhere. Lemme know before posting so you can get the credit. Feel free to add me to your Find-A-Grave friends list so that you'll be able to find me if you come across any other LITTLEJOHN's in the future. If there is no memorial created at Find-A-Grave for someone you find, I prefer to create it myself so that I can easily edit it in the future, but this isn't a deal breaker. Thanks!" I also collect obituaries, any "official" type documents, and most other information.
