|B Stone||Geo M Carlock|
George Maklin Carlock is the brother of John Landis Carlock (1805-1865), and he is the 3rd Great-grandfather of my deceased husband; Earl Edward Stone (b: 12 Jan 1931 Bonners Ferry, Boundary, ID d: 23 Mar 1993 Eugene, Lane, OR), and the 4th Great-grandfather of our only child a son, who is still living.
This is how I've put it together, so far, working backward.
Julia Francena Carlock (b: 12 Feb 1869 MO d: 1 Apr 1950 Bonners Ferry, Boundary, ID) married Ralph Clinton Fisher, Sr (b 14 Feb 1868 IL d: 6 Nov 1939 Bonners Ferry, ID). These people were my husband, Earl E Stone's, grandparents.
Ralph Clinton Fisher, Sr. was the father of Earl E Stone's mother: Lela Mae Fisher (b: 23 Aug 1906 Bonners Ferry, ID d: 17 Feb 1973 Spokane, Spokane, WA)
Anyway, I've been researching the women in this tree and started with Julia Francena Carlock who married Ralph Clinton Fisher, Sr.
Her father was James Asbury Carlock (1841 1924), mother: Sophie E McAdams (1845-1887)
James Asbury's father was John Landis Carlock (1805 1865); mother: Anna Wood (1809 1858).
John Landis Carlock's father was Jacob C Carlock (1775-1847, mother: Mary Whitney 1779-1830.
John Landis and George Maklin were brothers, but I'm still researching this portion of the family to try and verify all the information that's on Ancestry.com, which isn't making much sense at the time. I actually didn't know about the divorce of George and Margaret so can't help much there. Where it gets really confusing for me is the birth and death dates of John and George's younger brothers Jacob C Carlock and Joseph A Carlock. I'm finding the birth dates are the same, as are the death dates so this is confusing unless they were twins and they were killed the same day. Do you have any input on that?
So in answer to your question as to how I'm related to Geo M Carlock: I am related by my marriage to Earl Edward Stone in 1964, and I'm trying to do all the family trees of the grandmothers as far back as I can, not only on the Stone Tree, but on the other trees where other grandmothers great, etc are whether related by birth or marriage: it's interesting to say the least. Some of them can be found
..then again, zilch. This I'm doing for my son, and since I'm getting up there in years, I'd love to have it finished before I leave this earth.

Her date of death year should be 1889.
She's in my family tree.
