I've been doing genealogy now for about 20 years and find FindaGrave to be invaluable tool for research. |
I have very deep roots in Giles Co., TN, Newberry Co., SC and Bucks Co., PA, so you may see me poking around in those cemeteries quite a bit.
I'm very active in genetic genealogy and run several DNA projects at Family Tree DNA. I've also had autosomal testing done on Ancestry, 23andme and Family Tree DNA.
I don't follow FindaGrave guidelines for transfers. If I manage a memorial you'd like to manage, please request a transfer via "Suggest a Correction." My goal is to get all memorials into the hands of someone who will add more info to it.
I'm hesitant to post dumps from family tree software in the Bio sections, so please refrain from sending that.
You're welcome to use my photos, but photo credit would be nice.

I'm with the Chandler Family Association and have a number of SC genealogy books in my collection. Would love to hear from you about exchanging information. I live in Rutherford Co, TN. Our annual meeting next year is in Greenville, SC. DNA testing indicates the Bush River Chandler are probably from Y-chromosome Group 16. I am taking charge of starting a CFA Chapter for that group. I an from Group 7A myself, but, I am Deputy Chairman of our Genealogy Panel and am taking on the assignment primarily because of my long time interest in SC research.

I found a post you made to him some time ago, and it really helped me make connections, I have an old picture of Matilda and husband a cousin sent me. Email my address if you want a copy, or you can see it on her memorial, as I believe I out it there.
I figure he used your information, as to Gilbert's, as I have also shared mine with him years ago, but lost contact.

My GGGG grandmother was Synthia Gilbert of Newberry County, SC., if I am correct. Wasn't she Annie Lewis ?'s mother who married a Phillips second marriage, and Mother of my Great Grandmother, Matilda. I believe your 4th Great Grandfather was my 4th great uncle? is this correct?
|Jo Ann Phillips Kelly||RE: Coyle O'Dell's Adam|
He has a book of kinship in Adam's family. I believe you told me once your family was connected to an Adams family member?
|Jo Ann Phillips Kelly||Adams/Phillips|
Jane, have you seen Coyle O'Dell's Adam's information online? I haven't talked with you in a few years. My email is on page. Do you have any further information?

I think I have something more on EDH but will have to take a look. I'm winding down the genealogy (yes, it IS possible to do that). Will get back to you on that. For now, James Powell and Charles Abdon are neighbor's sons working for and living with the Hill family (Charles will marry Rebecca). They are the sons of Frances Bruce Abdon Powell.
More later and will send to your rmail.....mm

Yes, please. Thank you
|Sandy Littlejohn||Della Campbell|
Thank you for the information on Della. I added it to her bio, found her parents memorials, and linked them.
|Mark Utley||RE: Flo Richardson|
No need to transfer, Flo was neither a relative or acquaintance, when I stumble across data that will make these memorials more complete I am quick to share it. Thanks for the kind offer anyway!
All my best, Mark

I have a newspaper clipping of "Captain" Donald L. Gilbert of Oregon and three others who flew raids on the Axis Port in Tunisia. I found it in my husband's grandmothers things. It is an old clipping. I would be happy to scan it for you if you are interested in it. Let me know. Rosemary
