Cool! I really like it. Are you related to the Harris Family too?
|Karen Higman-Austin||RE: Virginia Catherine (Kate) Harris|
It's #22303801. Thanks for being so nice!!!

The correct location is the Red Bluff Memorial Chapel Mausoleum. I have added a photo of the niche wall where they are buried to their memorials. The wall stands outside the front doors of the mausoleum. The mausoleum is located just inside the gates to Oak Hill Cemetery but has no connection to the cemetery.

There is a photo on my memorial already. If you find out they're related, let me know. I've worked on the family a bit and have requested links to some of her kids and linked her to her husband Charles who you have. (His DC shows his middle name as Thobin rather than Tobin, but I've not found anything but "T" including an obituary) You might check back in a couple of days/weeks to see the links. I did find connection to a F/G contributor - one of her daughters married his uncle so he may want her too. lol Thanks! Kim

Thank you for your very kind words. I love helping other people, and I am willing to transfer almost any memorial if I believe the other Find A Grave member can add more information; the memorial does not have to bed in the members direct line.
Thank you for taking the time to drop me a note.

There is most definitely coffee in Heaven. I can see dad and Beansie happily raising their cups for seconds as mom passes by with the percolator. I remember so many parties with my parent's friends drinking coffee and eating Italian pastries from the bakery. All the ladies (wearing red lipstick) complaining about their waistlines and the men reaching for seconds and thirds. Wouldn't it be nice to think they can still enjoy each other.
There has to be a happy ending, I can't believe otherwise for our wonderful parents.

Love Elmo! The three goats and the three sisters! Hugs, Rosie
|Sam Andrusko||RE: Margaret Landis/have requested obit. to be posted|
Oh gee, thanks for a quick response and your research efforts. Just checked Find A Grave for Joseph and Margaret I and see you've already made the links, so all I can do is thank you! And especially thanks for the obits of William and Margaret.
I noticed Rosy's obit also appears in the Myersdale Library Special Collections Project. If you got it from there, I wonder again if whoever typed up the obit from there made a mistake. It says the obit possibly came from the Meyersdale Republican.
Obit do have errors. Was annoyed with my half-sister when she gave the wrong maiden name for our grandmother's mother when she (grandmother) died. And this was only in the 1990s, so ... people do make mistakes. Also wonder whether Magdalena (instead of Margaret) is wrong or just a middle name. She's Margaret or Maggie in the census records I've seen.
Anyway, thank you so much for your efforts. Perhaps in Rosy's entry you can simply note that the obituary is incorrect; that she was the daughter of Joseph Landis, not Peter. Otherwise, it looks as though you've made the mistake, not the obit.
|John Pearse||RE: Good to see you here!|
Thanks, Georgia. I've really started to get into the genealogy thing in the last year or so. Fortunately, you and Becky and others have done a lot of finding and posting on find-a-grave so all I have to do is follow along.
