"Spirit of Life, mystery of death: We trust that beyond the absence: There is a presence. That beyond the pain: There can be healing. That beyond the brokenness: There can be new kind of wholeness. That beyond the silence: There may be the understanding. And that beyond the understanding: There is love. Blessed Be. Amen"|

"brief is life but love is long"
-A. L. Tennyson
"What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories."
"A cemetery . . . tells the story of the past, not of its institutions, or its wars, or its ideas, but of its individual lives, -- of its men and women and children, and of its household. It is silent, but eloquent; it is common, but it is unique."
-Joseph Anderson, American Clergyman

|Shevi Tarler||Conrad Queer|
I have been adding stuff to my Queer Ancestry page, I was wondering if you had any information on Conrad Queer that you have in find a grave born 1962. Lena and Chauncy did not get married until 1865 and I do not see any record at all on Conrad born 1862. He they had a Conrad that died at a young age? Any ideas?

Thank you! I am so happy and grateful fir the experience. Thanks to Brian. I am so grateful for him. How are you related to the Queers?
Thank you, and many blessings sent to you for your kind sponsoring of my grandmother Ella's memorial. She helped many people in her life and had a good heart. Sorry it has taken so long, but I've been running the country in search of long gone family. Once again bless you for your kindness.

I know how much it meant to them to find this site, so I was more than happy to help them. Plus, I don't think there are very many people involved in genealogy that knows where this is.
Hi, sweet Lady. I added something to Grandpa's obituary that you might find amusing, in an ominous kind of way.
|Sam Andrusko||RE: Margaret Landis/have requested obit. to be posted|
Oh gee, thanks for a quick response and your research efforts. Just checked Find A Grave for Joseph and Margaret I and see you've already made the links, so all I can do is thank you! And especially thanks for the obits of William and Margaret.
I noticed Rosy's obit also appears in the Myersdale Library Special Collections Project. If you got it from there, I wonder again if whoever typed up the obit from there made a mistake. It says the obit possibly came from the Meyersdale Republican.
Obit do have errors. Was annoyed with my half-sister when she gave the wrong maiden name for our grandmother's mother when she (grandmother) died. And this was only in the 1990s, so ... people do make mistakes. Also wonder whether Magdalena (instead of Margaret) is wrong or just a middle name. She's Margaret or Maggie in the census records I've seen.
Anyway, thank you so much for your efforts. Perhaps in Rosy's entry you can simply note that the obituary is incorrect; that she was the daughter of Joseph Landis, not Peter. Otherwise, it looks as though you've made the mistake, not the obit.
Dear Georgia, thank you SO much for your sponsorship of little Sammy. I'm sure you've tickled Paul and his Sammy to no end with your gift. You're such a sweetie in thoughtfulness! ❤
Sammy does look much like our sweet buddy, Henri. I never noticed until you pointed it out. Thanks again, dear friend! Have a great weekend. With much love and many huggles, Suse
