This is a link to the piece I've written on Dicy Parker Edge Garrett's Bible.

A family member owns the Bible of Dicy Edge aka Dicy Garrett [2nd married name], the mother of Alexander Edge. Given the date of the Bible and the info contained in it, I believe she received it abt the time of her marriage to her first husband, Mr. Edge. It lists her first husband, her parents, her children. I am currently examining the Bible and will leave more info later.

Hi,I seen your post wanting to know the father of Alexander Edge and from what I have seen on ancestry.com it looks like his fathers name was also Alexander Edge. I am related to Martha E Edge Jones. She is my great great grandmother. Her son James Reason Jones is my great grandfather
I tried to send you an email and it was returned. It was to let you know that Flora Vincent # 29995161 is not in the Kimball, Nebraska cemetery and that your other listing of her must be correct, as there is a gravestone.
Please contact me if you have further questions.

Would you happen to know the address or better location of this cemetery, unable to locate this cemetery on any map of city listing.
|Anna & Bill Carmean||RE: O. A. Lemley|
I don't know anything about the Lemley family, just happened to see him listed as buried in that cemetery. Looking at your memorials, I notice you have 2 O.A. Lemley's and another Oshea A Lemley all with the same birthdate. (I don't know where the error is; I've certainly confused people with the same name many times!) I searched for him in Ancestry for you and found this:
California Death Index, 1940-1997

I noticed you have posted a memorial for O. A. Lemley at the Brownsville National Cemetery, Brownsville. Cameron County, Texas, USA. I want to let you know that cemetery no longer exists. It was closed in 1909 and the bodies were moved to the Alexandria National Cemetery at Pineville, LA.
You can find more info at:
"The 1911 granite Memorial to Unknowns marks the burial of 1,537 unknown Federal soldiers who were removed from the Brownsville National Cemetery and re-interred at Alexandria National Cemetery."
"Graves from the military cemetery, including remains of Jacob Brown, were exhumed and moved to the National Cemetery at Pineville, Louisiana in 1909."
"The graves buried at the National Cemetery at Brownsville, TX were removed to Alexandria National Cemetery at Pineville, LA in 1909."
