Most of the names I have included are from the John Wesley and Elizabeth (McCormick) family in Omaha--including Kendrick, Hender, Ludington, Phalen, Fedde, Tarpenning, Wilt, Lorenzen, Dillon, Custard, Garlick, Timperley and the Nelsen families.
RE: Henry Simpkins Ludington Hi Karen, It seemed apparent to me from his obit that he was probably buried in St. Paul, since it said he died in "this city" and the remains were followed to "the cemetery", but I suppose it could be another cemetery in the area.
I just checked the Omaha World Herald since he lived there so long, and they had a short death notice which I added to his memorial which also says he died in St. Paul.
It is such an old death, the stone could have been destroyed, and it is hard telling how good the cemetery records were back then, since the cemetery association wasn't even formed until May 1904.
If you find different information, let me know, and of course I will fix it. Linda
Emma Williams Memorial# 33837150 I am having a difficult time finding a grave for Emma's sister, Jessie Doyle. She married John L Kuntz on 09 Nov 1882 in Nebraska. I see where they were living in Omaha in the 1900 census (with John's brother Philip Kuntz) and then in the 1910 census he is listed as a widower still living in Omaha. Unfortunately I don't have an exact death date for Jessie (Doyle) Kuntz or her husband John. Do you have any additional information about either of them?
for karen Karen-- Enos is also my great great grandfather. My parents have this same photo of his portrait! His son, Wesley Marshall Williams (my great grandfather), was married to Emma Griffin. I believe she was adopted and was the daughter of Peter Doyle. Unfortunately I don't know her birth mother's name. Do you have any information about her? Also, how are you related to Enos? --Matt Williams
