I have been researching the histories of these families: Bankes, Cashner, Farnsworth, Fetterman, Gottshall, Houck, Levan, Miller, Rhone and Singley. In my quest to find more information, I have visited cemeteries and taken photos, etc. I joined Find A Grave so I can add Memorials which may be helpful for other researchers in the future. I enjoy this site and I hope that people will benefit from my postings.|
I live in Columbia County, PA. I'm willing to help anyone who needs info from my part of PA. If you have more info for one of my posts, please let me know and I will be glad to add the info to the Memorial.
Please feel free to copy and use my photos in a positive manner with respect for the family.
If I have posted a memorial that is in your family and not in my research, ask, and I will be happy to turn it's management over to you.
Sharing this lovely poem:
" Dear Ancestor,
Your gravestone stands among the rest;
Neglected & alone
The name & date are chiseled out
On polished, marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I existed
You died & I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone
Our Blood contracts & beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived & loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you ".

Hello Elaine: In researching my family genealogy I have discovered duplicate Memorials for Guy. I am a relative of Guy, and would like you to transfer his Memorial to his daughter Heather Temple "Fringe62" FindAGrave member #48781461, if you would please. Thank you for your kindness in posting this Memorial for our great "Guy."

Thanks for creating this memorial.
My 3rd GGF, Baltlis Archibald Heagel (Later spelled Hegel), was born in 1793 in Johnstown, Fulton, New York.
|Storres Myers||Baltzer Garnhart Edit|
Baltzer is the correct spelling of his name. The tombstone is in error. Perhaps it was a mistake or possibly a way to lower the cost of producing the lettering. Thank you for showing interest in my family history.--Storres

Thank you for the transfer.

Hi, Elaine. Can I request that you transfer the memorial for Michael John Remley (#146108932) to me? He is my wife's brother. Thank you!
Thanks for the memorials! And thanks for your help.

I would appreciate the other Letterman memorials. Thank you very much. My mother was a Letterman. Keep up the good work on Find A Grave. I love walking thru the cemeteries and taking pictures.
