I've walked many cemeteries in my genealogical searches and I'm glad to share many of these cemeteries on findagrave.com in hopes that it will help someone in their searches as well. |
Most of my listings are kinsfolk and friends. I have much genealogical information on the Bain,Baine, Robert Bean b. 1738, Bryant,Roden, McCurdy, Potter, Thornhill Families and would love to share it just ask me for your particular interest in an email to me.
It's important that we teach our children where our families are buried so that they in return can teach their children. This information gets lost very quickly and is difficult to recover once one gets interested in their roots.

Myrtle was my gg grandmother. I'm trying to compose a family tree. I have scanned over your profile and see that you are not in relation to any of the Kings but I did notice you are in control of many of the King graves here. I thought it would be a shot in asking if you knew anyone in relation to her (I.e. siblings, parents, grandparents...) thank you!

I believe he was on the 1860 census. The story is he died during or right after the war. My guess is his father is Allen Bain, but it is just a guess. Where does the Caroline name come from that keeps popping up, as well as Simpson?
Thanks for your response

I am trying to find information about Robert Simpson Bain. He married Lucinda_______. He was born about 1824 and I can't find him past the 1860s. Tradition holds he was killed in the war. His daughter Mary Jain Bain married a Stephen Dudley and moved to south Georgia. Do you have any record of him? Thanks in advance for your response.

For some reason, this record is on Find A Grave twice. You might want to delete one instance.

I have a question about your comments left on Alexander Bains Find A Grave Memorial# 7367524.
I agree that he is not the same one who married while on a ship to America, but what I am uncertain about is his brothers name. You say it was William but all the Find A Grave memorials I have found say it was Daniel. My question is whether the Find A Grave is wrong or if perhaps his brothers name was actually William Daniel?
By the way do you have any male Baine family that are participating in the Family Tree Bain/Bayne DNA surname project?

Hello, Lindsey! I am researching a branch of Robert Bain's family and would be greatly interested in speaking or writing to you and hopefully find some answers about our family! My husband is a 6 x great-grandson of Robert, so any information you can provide would be wonderful. We live in East-central Illinois, close to the Indiana state line, and were hoping to visit some cemeteries related to the family. I am on Ancestry.com under SJBane51, or you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Hope to hear from you soon!
