RE: Pliny Martin
I can tell by how Pliny is dressed that he must have been important!
I went to my family tree on ancestry.com and there are no Martins in it (yet). I did start working on my mother-in-law's family tree but stopped because I need to finish my grandparents before I work on any other and I did divorce her son, so it's not as important as mine.
She had another picture of a young woman and I found her on findagrave yesterday. They don't have a picture of her headstone but at least there is a picture of her - it made me feel good that at least their is a face to go with the name. I remember the name and think she was just a friend of my mother-in-law. My ex-hubby said there were people in their house all the time, getting married by his father or just eating with them so I'm thinking that a lot of the pictures were just people they came across along the way - my mother-in-law would be well into her 100's now. She had my ex when she was 45 and was 66 when we married!

RE: Pliny Martin
My mother-in-law's name was Myrtle Mustion Foster but her family was from Nebraska and she pretty much lived in Missouri all her adult life. My father-in-law was a circuit riding preacher but only traveled around the Missouri, Indiana, Kansas area, from what I was told.
I was also given pictures from my grandma and I didn't keep them separated from my mother-in-laws, so they could be from my side of the family also. Dang I wish I would have kept them separate because it has caused me a lot of extra work trying to figure out who gave them to me and if they were family.
The Pliny's were with a few in my mother-in-laws hand writing, that's why I think she gave them to me.
One of the girls pictures has Katherine, another has Katie and it looks like Kitz.

RE: Pliny Martin
I am so happy to find a relative for the pictures. I didn't want to throw them away or take them to Goodwill. I still wish I knew why my mother-in-law had them.
I will mail them out to you on Tuesday - I did find a picture of two of his daughters also. If you know their married names and where they are buried would you attach a picture to them? I like looking at pictures on findagrave even if I don't know the person!

Pliny Martin
I have pictures of your ancesters, the Pliny Family. I can't find that they are related to me, I think these are pictures my mother-in-law gave me but she has passed on and I don't know how or why she had them. I guess they were related.
If you would like them, I would be happy to mail them to you. I have some pictures of the children as well as Pliny and one of his wives.
