Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been asking questions about my family tree since I was about three years old. I have a tree in Ancestry.com that, while it will always be a work in progress, is pretty loaded. Some of my family names include Wylie, Lane, Rogers, Grannis, Elkins, Pilbeam, Hanlon, Clement(s), Darling, and many, many more. Some are from Arkansas, and some are from New York; some were on the Mayflower and some met them at the boat!

I love this poem, also; I think it speaks for all of us.

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

You're very welcome . Happy to help.
You might want to let the creator or manager of Eva's memorial know that there are two listings for her... steve

RE: John Gaines
You are welcome. Actually, I took both photos at the same time so I didn't have to go back. I often do that just in case the spouse or relatives are requested later.😊

You made a very nice memorial page to honor Dic Dorney. I will soon transfer his brother to your safe keeping. Take care.

Thank you, Carol. So kind of you to send that info to me. I appreciate that. I like to know about the people that the memorial represents. If you want the memorial for Dean Dorney, I'll transfer to you.

Well then, looks like you have the bases covered. Shiloh cemetery is on a hilltop (basically) and it is run by a board of directors. No charge to be buried there, but a donation of a few hundred dollars will insure perpetual care. I've never run across a cemetery like that before. Let me know if you need me to take a trip out there for someone in particular. Don
