Greetings! I am a self taught and self representing full time artist and crafter, freelance photographer, animal rights activist, huge cat lover, vegan, and 'graveyard groupie' since the mid 80's. I love the history of cemeteries and also enjoy the peace and quiet that I do not often get living in the city. |
And - in ode to my very favorite artist - I wrote the bio here for Louis Wain. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSfbid=46512423&GRid=8212267&
I also like to volunteer in taking photos of people's graves for this website and the family/friends who request the photos as I believe that everyone should be remembered - famous or not!
My favorite virtual graves here are those of - Mr. Louis Wain, Anais Nin, Joseph (John) Merrick (aka The Elephant Man), Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Freddie Mercury, Josephine Baker, Jean Harlow, Roy 'Rocky' Dennis, Frida Kahlo, Otis Redding, animals, and one of my very best friends, Timmm. my friend Rachel Amber Underwood. and many more. But above all - as of Sept. 26th 2011 - my cat of almost 23 years, Abbey. Mama misses you, my forever fur baby - and kittty angel. <3
I have sponsored Abbey's grave here at:
She would love some flowers! :)
Thank you so very much to everyone who have visited her virtual grave here - even if it takes me awhile to reply back - your comments and tokens mean so much to me. And to my fur angel, Ms. Abbey, too!! :)

Thanks for your response, it's nice to talk to someone who understands exactly what I'm going thru right now. Tigger had cancer for 5 years so I knew this day would come but it still did not prepare me for this profound grief I feel. We had a very strong bond and went thru a lot together and now that he is gone I feel so lost without him. I hate coming home knowing he won't be there to greet me. He slept with me every night so feeling his little body pressed up against me was so comforting. There are times I'll wake in the middle of the night and can't help but cry when I feel the empty spot he used to sleep in nestled up against my leg. He is the only cat I've ever had that actually would drape himself over my shoulder and demand a hug. It was so cute and I will forever miss his little hugs and kisses. But it helps to talk to you about him since reading how you felt about Abby I know if anyone understands perfectly what I'm going thru, you do. Others in my life don't seem to understand how deep the pain can be of losing him. For me, Tigger was the most loyal friend I've ever had and in the end he became part of my soul. Now I'm left praying for the day when we will see each other again.
I really love that picture of you and Abbey. Our kitties actually looked a little bit alike, I love Tabbies! I uploaded some pictures of Tigger on my facebook page so if you ever want to take a look feel free. http://www.facebook.com/marlene.celis.7 Again, thanks for listening, I really appreciate it and it helps.

Stumbled across your postings having just lost my best friend of 19 years, Tigger and I was deeply moved. I just lost him on Dec. 25, 2012 so the grief is over whelming and I have not been able to stop crying. I found your postings about Abbey so heart warming and can so relate so just wanted to leave a message letting you know that reading them reminded me there are others who loved their kitty angels as much as I do. Alot of people don't understand how strong that bond can be and really I don't think I will ever get over this intense grief I feel. But thank you for your lovely posts, they really represent exactly how I feel about my recent loss.
