Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Piedmont, AL, and love to spend time researching the families of northern Calhoun County. I have surveyed several cemeteries in my area, some fully and others I only have partial listings. My ancestor's surnames include Morgan, Law, Connell, Grogan, Jennings, Wise, Blackmon, Speight, Needham, Stewart, Posey, Ponder, Brown, McCarley, Patterson, Whitfield, Smith, Griffin, Moon, Bruce, Murray, Stanley, Rountree, Willingham, Brandon, and Hamilton. My database currently has a count of more than 15,000 people. I not only research my direct lines but collateral lines also. I have a pretty good selection of records available to me and I love sharing and comparing. I lead a rather hectic life and do not get to research and work on my files as much as I would like to. Please be patient when asking for a favor.

I would like permission to use your photo on his memorial 26080479, to be placed on my ancestry page. I am the 2nd Lt Commander of the Marshall County Sons of Confederate Veterans. We also like to honor any Veterans buried in Marshall County and this will add to our collection of photos we use during our living histories, camp meeting, etc. If you have any other photos to share, that would be much appreciated. The Law family is also married into my maternal line. Any Cherokee County information is also greatly appreciated due to so much loss of data in that county due to fires.

Thank you,

Reggie Hughes

Maria Gilliland (Head Hunter)
Family relation
My husband is a descendant of John B. Jennings. I noticed you had info on the Jennings line and was wondering if you might have some info to share. He just moved back to AL after moving away as a child. I cannot locate the burials of Phoebe Jennings Alexander 1858-1896, her parents Noah Jennings 1812-1883 & Priscilla Castleberry Jennings 1822-1860. I think the parents may be buried on the military land but cannot support this with any documentation. I have just begun searching his side of the family since we moved here. Thank you for any help. Maria
