I am the daughter of Nellie Ethelann Willis whose 1st husband was Homer Steaphen Swearngin. Homer is buried in Asbury Cemetery, Keytesville, Chariton County, MO but has no gravestone. Homer was not my father. My father was Elisha Howard Lair who was Nellie's 3rd husand. Nellie is buried in Jacksonville East Cemetery, Jacksonville, Morgan County, IL, and my father, Elisha Howard Lair is buried on the grounds of the Alton Mental Health Center in Alton, Madison County, IL. After both my parents died, the 4 children(including me) produced from their union were placed in an orphanage in 1951 and adopted to 3 different families--all in the Jacksonville, IL area. When I retired in 2001 I started the project of finding the burial locations for my family members. Since 2001 I have written 31 family genealogy books and my autobiography. Currently I am researching the Tuttle/Tuthill family as an on-going project for the next several years.|

|Waunita M Herron||Henry W Liter|
I tried to e-mail Holly Liter, the person that gave information about Henry, but it came back. I wanted to ask her about his daughter Emily Catherine Liter that had a child ONA J PEDEN.

Thank you so much for all this information on Calvin Tuttle. I enjoy so much seeing family added to help others find ancestors.

Please do not repost my photos. I will be glad to add them to an entry.
|C. Ann Carruthers||Alpha Tuthill|
I am so glad you mentioned that she was a Jackson County, Ill., school teacher. I have a photo of Murphysboro, Ill., school teachers printed in a Sept. 1950 Southern Illinoisan, but didn't know the date of the photo. Since Alpha died in 1915, the photo can be dated prior to her death.
She graduated from Murphysboro Township High School with the Class of 1909. I have made virtual cemeteries for MTHS graduates and for teachers and staff of the Murphysboro school system.
Thank you so very much!

Have a nice evening,

1.Eleazer #7285678 is a Hemingway not a Tuttle
2.Adelia (Tuttle) Hemingway #7285059 -the memorial manager is Yankee Female. She might be inactive so I would not leave a public message. Use the edit tab and send a suggest a correction, keep a copy for yourself. After 30 days, if it hasn't be added, forward to edit@findagrave stating you waited the required time and mention that the manager might be inactive. Edit can check the activity. It takes a few different people to ask before they put inactive on the managers page.

Sorry for the very late reply on your requests. Due to lack of time and so many requests it is hard to complete them all in a timely basis. Also I have been off line for a very long time due to personal reasons.
Thank you for the information and family connections for Eli Tuthill. I have added it to his memorial. He is laid to rest with his wife, Prudence.
Per your request I have added grave marker photos for them and information I had for them as well.

|Pat Van Den Berghe||The Tuttles in Valley Cemetery|
Thank you for the information on the Tuttles, I found a death record for a daughter of Timothy Adriannah Tuttle died 8/14/1863, she was 2 years old, she died from typhoid fever. I put Timothy's name in on familysearch.org and it came up with her as a daughter. I also could not locate any thing on the elusive Anannah F who is in the Valley lot book or Arabella who is in the census. Also Lettice's name is spelled Lettuce in the lot book, YIKES!
The lot the Tuttles are in is owned by TS Jacobs.
I am sorry about your childhood and losing all of your parents so soon, you are obviously a very strong person. I am sure you have searched for more Tuttles in Manchester, but I will take a ride down and see if there is a stone and what is there. The cemetery is very vandalized and weathered from lack of care . Pray I find something.
