My husband worked with him at Young's Car Wash. He said he tried to outrun a train when he was about 16 or so, and got hit. Ronnie pulled up on the track and realized he couldn't make it and tried to back up, but wasn't fast enough. He lived through it, but was in the hospital and rehab for a very long time. You are correct about the convenience store. He said it was on Jackson street and catty cornered across from Donut Castle. I looked for his obit, but the online Paducah Sun doesn't go back that far. (I live in Tampa now). Next time I'm in Paducah, I will get his obit at the library and send it to you.

Mount Carmel, Paducah
Hi Harold,
I see where you created a Memorial for "The Garden Of The Angels" at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Paducah. There is one photo request for the cemetery that I would like to fulfill. Would you know who I contact to get a map and location for that burial? It's a little too large to walk the cemetery especially in the heat we have here in Paducah. I'd appreciate any help you might be able to share.
Thanks, Pam
