Thank you for the information. That's interesting and something I didn't imagine!
I'm related to Matheny by Sarah McElroy who married Charles Matheny (1792-). Sarah was a sister to my 4th Great Grandmother, Nancy (Agnes) McElroy. I have brickwalled on their parents for so long that I've been doing some lateral searching in hopes of coming up with something.
Take care and Happy Hunting!

Am poking around some of your entries as I'm related to the Matheny family. I notice that several of the memorials in this family (131117451) indicate death locations as Hubbell, Nebraska and burials at Hubbell Cemetery in Kansas. I'd like to confirm this is actually a coincidence and not an error.
Thank you for all your contributions!

You are very welcome. His second wife isn't listed in the directory so I assume she isn't there. The Veteran's place their marker and I am assuming the second one was placed by family.

Thank you so much for the picture of Kourtney Ketchersid's marker. My sweet cousin left us way too soon.

Thank you for looking for Eric Ronan. I have made a notation on his memorial that his grave is unmarked. Your volunteer time is much appreciated.

I transferred her to you as I am not related.

Thank you so much in locating and photographing Donald's marker. Greatly appreciated! Might I have your permission to use your photo in my family tree software?

I've transferred the record to you. I did not change the last name to add the "e". From a historical perspective, his name was consistently Thorp until he went to California - then it became Thorpe.

Thank you SO much for the photo of little George Higday. The Higdays have been hard to find, and so every bit helps. Plus, I have a tender spot in my heart for the little ones who died too young...they're easily forgotten in the research out there.
Again, thanks thanks thanks!
