|I am retired and live in Lead, SD. I will take pictures of cemeteries/monuments in this area. I usually wait 'til the snow melts and the grass is green before resuming picture taking.|

I am glad I found the right plot, even though there were no grave stones. Thanks for confirming. Where did you get a copy of the West Lead Cemetery? Cindy

Checked the cemetery records on file in the library and the plot number you have is correct. It also show the plot on the left and the right are correct numbers indicating Josiah and George are #4. I didn't see any indication of a gravestone either. It was either vandalized or destroyed or they never had one. At least you can see where they are buried. Cindy

Hi George, I have obtained a very good photo of the headstone and would like for you to remove just the close-up photo that you submitted. Please leave the distant photo that shows the background of the cemetery.
Thank you much.

I was in the West Lead Cemetery recently to take some pictures for some of the photo requests plus others of interest. I took a picture of Emma Steele's grave and sad to report it is broken. I am going to try to add her photo so others can see what it looks like now. Cindy

George thank you for the transfer.
Ill take good care of them. Any chance you can make it to the cemetery and see who else is buried there? I am wondering if it is the daughter of George and Mary.

I thank you for the transfer of Louis Menghini's file. The pictures are so wonderful of the grave site for Louis Menghini. The marker with the flags and crest on it is so interesting. My mom will be so thrilled to see these pictures, since her grandfather died many years before she was born. I appreciate your time spent on this project Mr. George Laun. Again, thank you so much!
Thanks for all 6 transfers. Sure appreciate it.

Thank you for your message. I have heard the weather has been very bad in your part of the country. I hope the weather will get better for you soon. Late snow for this time of year! If you could also take a picture of front sign for West Lead Cemetery that would be awesome. Thank you so much Mr. Laun for your help.

My name is Nathan Walters. I have been doing some geneology research on my grandfather Joseph Menghini who was born in Terraville, South Dakota. I was able to locate on Find a Grave your post for my great-grandfather Louis Menghini who is buried at West Lead Cemetery. I was hoping that you might be able to take a photo of his headstone. He was born November 3, 1887 and died November 13, 1918. My email address is email@example.com. Thank you for everything that you do to provide people with photos of their ancestors.
