I love genealogy and have been actively researching my family history for over 25 years, with special interest in Kentucky and Maryland History. Roots go deep in those States. Many of my early ancestors were among the original families who migrated from Maryland to Kentucky. My mom & dad were unknowingly 3rd cousins, descendants of Thomas Bowling & Eleanor Brown Hutchins. St. Catherine Cemetery in New Haven, KY is where the majority of my kinfolk and great-greats are buried. Also, Holy Cross, KY holds a special place in my heart.
Husband Ken & I reside in Kentucky and we have 3 sons, 1 daughter and 2 grandchildren. We enjoy visiting and walking through the cemeteries where our ancestors & relatives are buried.
re Henry Brady Elaine, we met in the cemetery of Holy Cross Cem, Sat on the bus trip for MD to KY Catholics, and were looking for Henry Brady. You gave me a yahoo email and its not valid, it won't go thru. I am the DAR and we took a good photo, I wanted to send you a copy. You said you had photo of George Washington Brady and would send to me. Look on my DAr card for the email. Julia
Nancy Dawson Ice Hi, Elaine. I sent a message back in Jan. re her family, hoping to obtain or confirm info. I have that she had 10 children: John Knox, Elizabeth Jane, Lucinda, Thomas, Robt., Jr., Jesse, James Knox, Mary Eleanor, another Elizabeth, & Mathilda Ann. Her memorial states she had 9 children, so somebody in the above list is an "extra". Do you have any info on any of them, or on Nancy's parents? My e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org for private communication. Thx.
Thank you for the information regarding Miles Brady. The person in Oregon could be him. I will look at your pages as pictures are uploaded. I have some other pictures of Great-grandpa Brady that I need to upload. Patrick
I have updated my great-grandfather's find a grave page and thought you would enjoy reading it. Would you happen to know anything about his other son, Miles Brady? My father and relatives have tried for years to find out information on him. His other son which was my grandmother's brother is buried in Shawneetown, Illinois. His find a grave page is Find A Grave Memorial# 47178142. I thought you might enjoy seeing/reading the pictures.
It was so great to hear from you. I love hearing stories about my family that has passed. I would love if you would transfer Great-Grandfather Ed Brady's page to me. I think I have some more pictures that I can post of him. You will love to see the picture of him and great-grandma Minnie Brady when they got married. He was in his late 30's/early 40's and looked like he was about 20!! My father said he is the most remarkable person he ever met in his life. On the day that he passed, he was alert as he could be even though he had pneumonia. Thanks. Please keep in touch. If you are ever in the Morganfield, KY, area, please let me know and you can meet my father. He is 80 years old and knew "Pa Brady" well along with my uncle Jim who lives in Frankfort. Patrick
I have tried for years to get Ms. Joyner to transfer over Jeff Edward "J.E." Brady's Find a Grave page to me. This was my great-grandfather Joseph Edward "Ed" Brady's son who passed away in 1919. My father called him "Uncle J.E." and knew him when was a boy. His find a grave number is #47178142. Can you add him to Joseph Edward "Ed" Brady's page? Thanks. Patrick
I am so happy to hear from you concerning my great-grandfather and your great-uncle Ed Brady. I never knew Grandpa Brady....he died the year before I was born in 1978...but my father was 43 when I was born so he knew him well.....said he was truly remarkable and thinks he would have lived well past 100 if he would have had better medicine and caregivers!! He roofed his own home at age 87 and lived alone until he was 98....truly remarkable....I think I have some more pictures and articles about him....do you have any pictures of him? I would love to see what he looked like at a young age....Take care....Patrick
RE: Nancy Ice She is my g-g-g-g grandmother, so I guess we're related.... in some way. :-) If you know anything about any of her children, especially Elizabeth Jane (my ancestor), and would be willing to share, I would be grateful. Thx.
Mary Ann Simpson Brady #95889097 How sure are you that she was the daughter of James Simpson & Elizabeth Edelen. According to my records, they had 16 children, all of whom I have. You have Mary Ann born in 1800, but they weren't married until 1801 & their first child, Thomas J, was born in 1802.
