Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am happily married, the mother of four boys, the stepmother of two boys and a girl. I live in north central Arkansas in the area of Conway County. I have been researching my family history for about thirty years. I would be willing to help anyone I can to find information about their family in my area of Arkansas. Also, I have photographed several cemeteries in Gwinnett County, Georgia and if I have the picture, would love to forward it to anyone who requests them. Also, I have access to marriage information in Georgia for a five year period around 1874. If you think I may be able to assist you, please contact me at Familytreeclimber@Yahoo.com

Sincerely,
Edwina Moody

RE: Dorothy Frances Handy
Edwina, I just discovered your messages to me (I forgot about them). Sorry for SLOW reply. I have added a memorial for my Great Aunt Dorothy Frances Handy here;

There is no headstone at Highland Lawn Cemetery but my Dad did have her ashes buried there.

My understanding is that she was married for a very short time to a Mr. Talmage. Did you say you may know some details regarding her marriage? I have zero data on that event.

RE: Anderson Photos
Hi,
I was glad to do it. As a researcher myself, I know how helpful it has been for me when others take photos of graves far away. Really not a problem. I enjoy doing it.

One caveat though. Like you, I find a lot of useful information from grave stones. But especially in older ones around Turlock, they aren't to be 100 percent trusted. You'd think, "family pays for the stone, they must know how to spell their relative's name."

You'd think, right? I've found so many misspellings, even among several stones from the same family in the same general plot area.

So, I hope this helps you, but don't 100 percent count on it.

Best regards,

Bob C

Caroline Anderson #46489941
Hi Edwina,
I have updated Caroline and Christians memorial and linked their daughter Helen. Their marriage record shows Christian was divorced when he married Caroline, but I don't know his wife's name and I have been unable to locate any of their other children. I hope this helps.

RE: Rebecca Jane Salyer Ramey
According to Johnson County obituaries,at The Johnson County Historical Society, she may have passed away up to 16 years before Charles did. I have seen where some say she died in West Virginia, but I have not been able to verify that. I think she may be buried with Charles but until I or someone else can verify that, I just keep looking. My family goes thru Charles's brother George W. to Nathaniel Asbury Ramey, and if you are not careful you can confuse him with his first cousin, Nathaniel Lewis Ramey, Son of Charles G. My great grandfather, Nathaniel moved to what is now Scott County, Virginia where he married Fannie M Grace. I am having a problem finding where her father, Joe Grace died and is buried. The many stories about Joe Grace, is that he was Cherokee Indian, but I can find nothing that shows that. So I guess, like you said, we just keep searching.

RE: Rebecca Jane Salyer Ramey
Edwina, I believe her father to be John Martin Salyer, born in Russell Co. Virginia, born March 1832 Died in Johnson County, Ky. Nov 1887. Her mother was Rachael Elizabeth Conley. Born 1835 in Russell Co. Va. & died 1900 in Johnson Co. Ky. I hope this helps you. I have not found all information on burial and other dates.
