DONE! I went to the grave with eyes closed. It was exactly where I thought it was. And everything else was like I said before: Plot or row was "S" as in Sam, and grave number "58" was wrong because it was too high a number. The correct grave number is just "8". I uploaded 4 photos to each memorial.

Hi Rose, I am a photo volunteer for "New Calvary" (and occasionally for Old [First] Calvary). The so called "New" Calvary has 3 divisions: Third Calvary, Second Calvary and Fourth Calvary, in that order, coming from Queens Boulevard. In Third and Second Calvary, there are sections and in each section there are many rows of graves. Each row of graves is called "Plot" and a letter has been assigned to it. Unfortunately, they call it "Plot" because that term could be confusing. In my opinion after a long experience visiting Calvary, they should call it "Row", that would be simple and would not create confusions. A group of 6, 7, 8... adjacent graves in the same row or "Plot" is called a "Range", where each grave has a number. The system followed by Calvary in Third and Second Divisions is to place those four parameters or locators in this order: Section-Range-Plot-Grave #. "Plot" is the only letter whereas the other three got numbers. Your assumption is totally correct, 15-36-S-58, means Section 15, Range 36, Plot S, Grave # 58. I am looking at the official, detailed New Calvary map and I can tell you that in Section 15 the rows or "Plots" go from 1 to W, and the Ranges go from 1 to 44. The only thing that seems a little high to me is the grave number, 58. Maybe it is 5-8, which means graves 5, 6, 7, 8. I am planning to take care of your request this week. The grave number is not a problem, once I got the row or "Plot" and the "Range". Even with the "Plot" alone I can find a grave as long as it has a headstone on it with the names. All I have to do is walk the entire row. I've done that a few times. So I will tell you what I find. Sorry about this long explanation.

RE: Charles and Irene Tietjens
Hi Rose
I was glad to provide you with the photo. I took the liberty of making a memorial for Mary A. Cox Rice, and attaching the photo to her memorial. It is strange she was not buried with her husband. Who knows why?
I taught middle school English and history. I did my time, and am glad I'm now retired. Now I can do what I enjoy. Teaching middle school kids lost its appeal, as you can imagine. if there are any other photos I can take for you, let me know.

Charles and Irene Tietjens
I uploaded the photo to both their memorials. Irene's last name was misspelled. You need to reverse the i and e. Also, be sure to move Charles to Old Saint Raymond's cemetery that way, their memorials will be together. I'll create a memorial for Mary A. Rice and upload the photo. If you want to do it, let me know.

I have claimed the photo request. However, the name of the cemetery he should be listed in is under the name Old Saint Raymond's Cemetery. That is the correct name, and contains thousands of internments. The name you used for the cemetery only contains one other memorial. That's because the cemetery was not written correctly. I will go out tomorrow or Friday to take the photo.

RE: Mary Helens Thomas
Hi Rose: Almost a year ago I tried to photograph Mary Thomas' Grave but they had not yet marked it. I went down there today and they still haven't. I'll keep it on my "watch" list. Tom
