Genealogy and family histories are a passion of mine. I'm a museum professional and historian by trade.|
I'm especially interested in any surnames from the Isles of Shoals (Maine/New Hampshire): Caswell, Robinson, Newton, Randall, Downes, etc.
These families also had branches in Kittery and York, ME; Rye, Portsmouth, and New Castle, NH.
My personal family interests include the following surnames: Fuller (esp. the "Mayflower" Fullers), Philbrook/Philbrick, Glidden, O'Connor, and Noseworthy/Nesworthy.
NOTE: I will gladly add any additional information, correct/update data, etc for any of my records. Just let me know. Also, if any of the records I've added belong to a close relative of yours and you would like the record transferred, please tell me and I will do so. Thanks!
Also - it's cool with me if you use my gravestone photos for multiple burials (i.e., if I post the pic for one record, but there are multiple names on the stone and I didn't get around to reposting the picture for each record) but please make sure I am credited for taking the photo if you do this. I'm going back now and watermarking my images, but I haven't gotten them all yet. It's just a pet peeve of mine - I went out there to take the picture and I'd like my name to stay attached. An even better solution would be to message me and ask me to post the picture myself. Thanks.

You are very welcome.

Can you drop me an email? I'd like to talk about (actually learn more about) the Isles of Shoals. They were a total mystery to me until yesterday. Thanks.--Stan

Would you object to moving the memorials for Thomas, Cedric, and Oscar to the other Laighton Cemetery? If you will do that, I will move Eliza, and then all three children and both parents will be together in the one cemetery.
Hi Sarah, and thanks for the transfer of Eliza Laighton. My ancestor is Christopher Rymes; do you have any material on him? I've created a memorial for him and his wife, but haven't found his grave yet. His wife is buried in Boston where three of their children are also buried.
Is there a reason there are two Thomas B. Laighton Cemeteries? Would be nice to consolidate. Also, on ancestry.com I found a so-called burial record for Eliza Laighton saying she is buried in Wakefield, Carroll Co., NH. Makes absolutely no sense, since she died in Portsmouth, and always lived either there or out on the islands. Thanks again.--Stan

Hello - I was wondering (I see you took some photos) if you could tell me if the Harvard Ceneter Cemetery was right behind the big blue general store? It ran along the street with a big brick wall along the road? When I was younger I lived in Harvard and remember that cemetery but, don't know the name.
