Nothing exciting is happening right now with me.
I respond to SAC's as I am able, please be patient; anything sent via e-mail is up to date as of 7/11/16.
Please don't send obits if there is already obit like material on the page. Rest assured I will get to your request. Edits sent via the new system get done faster, you can check to see if I have approved or declined your submission.
Cemeteries are very quiet peaceful places to me. I would like to think that each person that comes before us has something vital to pass on. This is my effort to connect people to make sure that our life stories are carried on, long after we are gone.
If you find something wrong in my listings, no matter how tiny, please send a SAC or e-mail me so I can fix it.
Some of the last names in my research are: Alden, Burge, Burton, Connors, Cook, Crump, Drewer, Fleck, Fosley, Lee, Morf, Prickett, Ward and Welty.
Some of the places my ancestors lived: Cape Giradeau County, MO; New London, IA; Spokane, Seattle, Tacoma, WA; North Dakota; Montana; Minnesota; Coalgate and Coal County, OK.
I do very limited research on my husband's family with the last names of Neakrase and Smith (yeah, unique and ubiquitous).
I proudly volunteered my time as a County Keeper for Contra Costa County, California.

Megan, hope the move went well. Getting tired of my many tiny edits for locations? Hope not; am slowly moving through section by section. You beat me by several years.

I posted a funeral marker for Lucille Scheinost in the Durant Cemetery. I walked this cemetery and there it was. Why no one else found it is a question and the bigger question is why she is not listed in the Durant Cemetery burial records? Stupid people in charge? She only has this funeral marker, no gravestone! She didn't have plans for a gravestone written in her will? I spent $200.00 out my pocket to have the death date put on a family member's gravestone in the Durant Cemetery, which will turn 30 years next year when this person died. 30 years! I'm not first or even fifth cousin, but I did more for this person than his stupid son or stuck-up grandkids. Lucille's memorial is 129753220, if you care to look.

The Longview Public Library has an obituary index, he does have an obituary. Link to index http://www.longviewlibrary.org/genealogy/index.php you can order the obituary. I do know that he divorced his first wife, Pearl married again
1940 Census Ward 3, Vancouver, Election Precinct 91 Vancouver, Clark, Washington, United States
Household Role Gender Age Birthplace
Melvin Roalsen Head M 34 Washington
Pearl Roalsen Wife F 34 Washington

His 2nd wife I believe was Beryl Reilein. More could be known from his obituary.

I am happy to transfer this memorial to you. I am going to look for a gravestone next time at the cemetery. I set up a lot of these memorials from the plot sheets and then go to the gravesite to take a photo. I don't know if I followed through on this one.

Yes, Quiguis/Quihuis is her maiden name. Have been trying to update Picacho and Potholes based off of the grave relocation project. The Parra/Campusano families are doing a nice job maintaining the cemetery and adding new headstones. Hope you are well.
