Thank you in advance for your understanding.
I will not be on the site daily--one of my family members is seriously ill. This is but a hobby--my family comes first.
I am also having internet connection problems (intermittently), so corrections will get done as soon as I am able, but within the allowed time limits.
Been "graving" since I was a child...and researching my genealogy for over 40 years.
I have been dealing with chronic health issues for many years, and I am always playing "catch up." I try and do the best I can. If I post a photo to one of your memorials, and you are not satisfied, feel free to submit a photo request and wait for another graver to fill it.
I DO NOT link to "Burial Unknowns." This is a "final disposition information" site, not a genealogy site, and I will not link to any burial listed as Unknown.
Per administrator Mark (9/21/2012):
"Admins won't knowingly link any memorial to a memorial of unknown disposition. We should not expect you to link them either."
REMEMBER: Just because a picture is on the Internet doesn't mean you are entitled to it!
Also, when requesting transfers, submitting corrections, etc., please use the EDIT tab in the upper right hand corner of the memorial. That way, I get all the links and can do them easily. If requesting a transfer, PLEASE state the relationship to the person you are requesting. I am related to many of the people for whom I created memorials, and I need to know this. I do out-of-guideline transfers on a case-by-case basis. Also, do not post correction or transfer requests on my page here--I probably won't see them, as I get many messages a day--and the EDIT tab is the correct procedure to use. Thanks in advance.
Please visit the memorial for my brother-in-law, who passed away suddenly on January 21, 2011 at the age of 54:
Thank you for your kindness.

Do you still do photo requests for Woodmere Cemetery? I see the requests are over 1000. I would like to fulfill some requests, but the office is not co-operative in giving out section maps & info. Can I ask how you attained your Woodmere info?

|Chris ||John Henry Hopkins|
Hello: I found John's death record and confirmed his birth date and place. I also found his marriage record, census, and his parents buried in Iowa. I added his date and place of birth as requested...

Happy New Year! Thanks for the heads up on Baby Girl Loose. I changed her to Mt Olivet, with her mother. I also noticed she wasn't linked to her father. She is now. Have a good 2015...

You have been of great help over the years in my search for family especially in Woodmere. You transferred a memorial to me, a Frank Sharkany. Not sure why I believe you may have hit the wrong send to.
Please advise at you convenience

HI TLIB , MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY'S
|PonemahPat||RE: Re: Fred Rousseau|
I am not sure Fred was actually buried at the memorial site. That is why it says burial unknown. I was told that his body was cremated. He wanted the ashes to be placed in a capsule and sent into outer space. I think his name was etched onto the monument out of respect for who he was. I will ask at the office about the details. I do not want to overstep my bounds here. I do not know the person that added the memorial to find a grave. I was hesitant to add the picture since the creator of the site did not add it themselves. But, I have a lot of respect for Fred and I think he deserves to have his name etched in stone.

Thank you for the note. Yes, Fred was a legend, a great man and truly missed by all. I only met him a couple of times at Grandlawn Cemetery when I was doing genealogy work on my family tree. He was a great inspiration to me. He is why I do find a grave now. In his memory. At Grandlawn they call me "Fred's replacement". That I could never be. While I was out graving I noticed that his memorial did not have a picture so I took it and posted it for him. I was surprised that it was not posted yet. He has a large family plot. I will have to go into the office and look up the exact location of the graves. Then I will add it to the memorial. Grandlawn staff all loved and respected Fred. This is his time of year, Christmas. Happy Holidays.
