Mr. Francis Edward Crump
Mr. Francis Edward Crump, age 71, of Blairsville, GA passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2005 in Augusta, GA. Mr. Crump was born Monday, September 25, 1933 in Union County, GA to the late Francis Lafayette Crump and the late Carrie Lovell Crump. He enjoyed square dancing and was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Crump lived in Marietta for 32 years and retired from Lockheed Aircraft Corporation. After his retirement, he moved back to Blairsville in 1980.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, John and Joy Crump of Kennesaw, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Tim Collins of Dallas, GA; 3 grandsons, Jonathan Crump of Kennesaw, GA, Daniel Crump of Kennesaw, GA, Cody Boyd of Acworth, GA; 5 granddaughters, Bonnie Crump of Kennesaw, GA, Melissa Crump of Kennesaw, GA, Cristine Boyd of Acworth, GA, Brandi Collins of Carrollton, GA, Ashlan Collins of Carrollton, GA; 2 brothers, Harold Crump of Blairsville, GA; J.D. Crump of Griffin, GA; 3 sisters, Joyce Tanner of Snellville, GA, Janie Turner and Billie Jo Cardot, both of Lilburn, GA; many friends and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were scheduled for Sunday, February 20, 2005 at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Blairsville, with Rev. Stacy Dyer officiating. Interment followed in the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with military honors presented by North Georgia Honor Guard. The following gentlemen were selected to serve as pallbearers: Jonathan Crump, Daniel Crump, Dusty Sidwell, Kevin Tanner, Russell Cardot, and Richard Brooks.
