I found your entry for Viola E. (Brown)Townsend who was married to John Franklin Townsend. Are you by any chance related?
I am researching the Brown family who lived in WI and later moved to IA.

I located the GPS and directions to Kiskatom from downtown Catskill on Rt 23A by googling for the global map. Thanks for your quick response.
I think there is some error along the way on where Uriah Lawrence, Jr. died 25 Jan 1776 and was buried.
You have him buried in Kiskatom while another with a gravestone picture has him buried in Spencer's Corners Cemetery, Millerton, Dutchess Co., NY Memorial 22195638.
Did you locate a marker for him in Kiskatom? These burials and the condition of the gravestones after all these years are making it difficult to verify the inscriptions. Any advice you have will be welcome.

Do you have the GPS for this cemetery? I have tried to locate Kiskatom Twp., Greene Co., NY on a map but don't seem to find it listed.
What direction would you take from downtown Catskill to locate this cemetery? What is the condition of this cemetery?
Thank you for your quick reply to accept corrections and additions.

I don't know if you can help me, but since you have taken so many photos in Ellis Cemetery, I was hoping you might be able to help me find 3 graves for Milton L Wortman d. 1871, Isabell Wortman d.1863,and William Wortman d. 1865. I know for certain that headstones were ordered, but they may well have disappeared or fallen and broken.
Thanks for sending the pictures of the Caraway cemetery. Too bad there are no headstones. Gary

I did not clean up the cemetery and have sent an email to try and find out who did. We did try to work on it several years ago but never got far.Someone did a fantastic job.
My wife is actually the one retaking pictures of all the stones and reposting them. Not done yet. In the cleanup, they uncovered many many stones.

Chuck, thank you so much for the great pics you sent of M/M J. E. Ellis and Earnest Morris. They are all fabulous pictures, easily legible. I've been told that this cemetery is not very well tended and that many stones are overturned or difficult to read. So thank you, again, for your hard work and singlemindedness of purpose.
Chuck - Thanks so much for the photo of their stone. Much appreciated.
