Bio and Links
Bio Photo My deepest thanks and appreciation to the creator of Find A Grave and to the thousands of volunteers who continue to make it possible, This website has enabled me to locate headstones and connect families. Visiting cemeteries has often resulted in some interesting experiences.

I haven't any objections to transferring 'out of guideline' memorials. Even some of my distant family members. Just ask and I'll let you know one way or the other. After fifty years of research I am not into trying to collect ancestors or non-related memorials.

Thank you for visiting my page.

As per FAQ: Death certificates may be added via the "Add a Photo" button on the memorial page.

UPDATE: February 5, 2016
Concerning the use of British Columbia BMD registrations. I have been in contact with the BC Vital Statistics Agency. On February 5, 2016 I was informed that when the registrations become public record and are available on the BC Archives webpage, that permission is NOT needed to use these documents.

hank you for photographing and posting the headstone.
Its unfortunate the bottom part isn't more legible
I'm able to read the info on Thomas but hard to make out lower portion but then again it might just be these old eyes.

Thank you.

John Herman Thuman headstone
Hi, I noticed that the photo linked to John Herman Thuman at the Spring Grove cemetery is actually to the headstone of his son William Conrey Thuman. Do you have an image of John Herman Thuman's headstone?

Thanks, and I appreciate all the work you have done, it's great to find these images.

I'm just getting back into doing some ancestor research after visiting the Edina, Dalesville and Lachute Cemeteries in September 2015.

Thanks for all the info about my (our?) family you have added here. I'll add what I can from my personal family records.

Mille-Isles Cemeteries
Hi Ruth:

Thanks for the recent transfer of the Evans & Pollock memorials, that was a pleasant surprise.

In August, I photographed 100% of the stones in the three graveyards at Mille Isles (Anglican, Presbyterian, and Methodist), and I am in the process of entering new data into Find A Grave right now. This should result in a great deal of new information about people we have a common interest in being available on Find A Grave.

Best Regards,

Margaret McOuat headstone photo
At your request, I have taken a photo of the headstone of Margaret McOuat (Find A Grave Memorial 118707021), and I confirm that the year of death was incorrectly recorded on the headstone as 1908. As you note in the biography, the church record states 1909.

RE: Lachute Cemetery
You're welcome.
I enjoy visiting and photographing any cemetery. I need a bumper sticker that says 'I brake for cemeteries'. Sometimes looking for particular names is not that easy, I'd rather just walk and take photos.
I was surprised to see McQuat names - I found them by chance, because of course I was using McOuat in the search box. I submitted Edits, but there has been no change yet.
Yesterday when I was at Lachute, a crew was taking down some damaged trees, and the groundskeepers were cutting the grass. I stayed in the two front sections. I'll be going back soon, but I'm also going to go by St Paul's and Holy Trinity.

I have more photos to add and you may see some more Edits appear.
