RE: SM1C Roscoe Conkling Ray, Jr

Helen was my maternal grandmother (Helen Krilly after having married my step-grandfather Sam Krilly.

Nancy was Helen's older sister, Archer's was Helen's older brother. Conklin was the youngest of the siblings. For the sake of accuracy...I had met Nancy and Archer only once as a teenager (I'm now 59 yrs. old). Nancy and Archer lived in Illinois and we in Kansas City, Missouri. Having said that I believe the information is accurate; with respect to Conklin's siblings.

Their parents; my great-grandparents were Roscoe Conklin Ray and Ethyl Ray.

Martha was my mother.

Glad you enjoy the photos.

Merry Christmas

SM1C Roscoe Conkling Ray, Jr
Hello My Name is Joseph...and I am the grand-nephew of Conklin Ray. He was my maternal grandmother's youngest brother. Just an FYI...the family name shown as being "Conkling" is's spelled "Conklin", without the "G". I know because I shudder every time I remember, my mother telling me; as a young boy, I was almost named Conklin; in honor of my uncle. Also, the entire family was from Pleasant Hill Missouri....not Kansas. In fact, my great-grandfather Judge Roscoe Conklin Ray, erected a "burial headstone" and memorial to his son; lost when the Bonefish was sunk, on the family farm property.
