Please understand that I have no control over the names, words and dates engraved on stones, written on death certificates or provided in obituaries. I didn't write them. I'm only providing those previously written words to you.

I have been an active contributor on this site for over 15 years, so yes it stands to reason that I have a fair number of memorials that I have entered, added to and lovingly care take even though they may not be a branch of my own family. It's quite possible that if I had not entered the memorial to begin with, you may not have been able to find them.

Individuals using this site need to realize that we are all volunteers and do not need to deal with abusive behavior or rudeness just because we won't make a transfer to someone who has registered two days or two months ago and want every memorial on the site with the surname of Jones. Or a transfer of a memorial of someone who they think just might be a fifth cousin, four times removed of their third ex-husband.

If you are new to this site, PLEASE read the "Frequently Asked Questions" located "HERE". If you take just a moment to familiarize yourself with these guidelines, it will definitely help yours and everyone else's state of mind, blood pressure and headaches. Just a hint, most people will not respond to your liking when bullying tactics are used.

If you will please use the "Edit" tab located on each memorial, I will be more than happy to correct, edit or add information to a memorial that is meaningful. I will not add all of the information from the past ten census records that have been released or any distasteful or disturbing messages.

Please be kind. We all make mistakes from time to time. If I have made a mistake or created a duplicate memorial later than one you have created, please use the "Edit" tab and send me the correction or let me know of the duplication and it will be taken care of quickly.

I will make transfers using the "Guidelines" if they are not a relative of mine. I will transfer your children, siblings, parents, grandparents or great-grandparents. All other requested transfers will be considered if you use the "Edit" feature and state your relationship or intended need for the memorial.

Lastly and most importantly, there are so many absolutely wonderful people that use Find-A-Grave! I am very appreciative for all of the suggested corrections, additional information and photos that have been provided. Please don't allow the rude, abusive and sometimes rather bizarre behavior of individuals to curb your enthusiasm or your want to help others.

Warm regards,

Grave for Martin Phillips Forehand Jr.
I am direct decedent of the Forehand Family. I saw that you had created Martins grave # 58126817.
Do have or know anymore information about the family. I have been researching the family many years. If you would like to share your information that would be great. Thank you for your time in this matter.

On the find-a-grave this memorial is listed as you have it. I live a block from this grave and I took a photo..I was going to upload it and discovered that the stone says... Rudolph W. Safran
1900-1981,,,,,,,is the tombstone wrong or the info on find a grave wrong? Concerned.
Thanks, Donna

RE: Milton Jones # # 156561451
I goofed up and put the whole page of pictures on Milton's site. I could not find where to delete it.
Milton is the last male on the left in this group of pictures.

This is his picture:

Sorry for my goof up. I am new to the edit thing.

Thanks for the reply. I love a good researcher and I love the great job you are doing on the Tech Site.

I look at the obit you posted and saw that he attended high school in Arkansas. I also looked at Willie Mae Moore Jones' obit (see link below) and found her to be a beautiful black lady. In 1949 I don't think there were many if any interracial marriages.

My Milton Arnold Jones was born 4-6-1931 according to the Tech ledger and also the Social Security Death Index (SSDI). It also shows his death 11-16-2004. His obit will be in the Memphis Commercial Appeal Archives.

I have been a genealogist for about 48 years and with my husband who died in 2013 we traveled to many grave sites, libraries and court houses in many states.

Keep in touch and keep researching.

Tech Hi
Joan because my dates differ with what was published on Milton Jones I check the Tech Hi Ledger for his birth date and also the SSDI for his death record. I could not get an obit becaused it cost to get a copy. I edited both of these dates. Thanks for the great job you do. Leigh

Transfers from Paris and Panama
Joan: I have transferred to youthree memorials created by me at Passy Cemetery in Paris. They are Alphonse Loubat and his son Joseph Loubat, whose transfer you agreed to, and Phillippe-Jean Bunau-Varilla, a major figure in the construction of the Panama Canal. Since you seem to be willing to accept the transfer of memorials in foreign cemeteries, I am also transferring three memorials of unimportant persons whose names are on plaques in a church in Portobello, Panama. I created their memorials during a visit to Panama in 2015. On foreign trips, I sometimes like to create memorials for persons whose interesting graves or memorials I find. If you do not want any of these memorials, you may transfer them back to me.
