Bio Photo I transcribe and photograph cemeteries/grave sites because I know there is someone out there who can't make the trip or who doesn't really know where their loved ones resting place may be. My Motto: By Preserving Our Past, We Prepare For The Future!jhh That one transcription or photo CAN make a difference!

This pix is of my baby girl (Toni Stewart), she is named after Tony Stewart of NASCAR.

At the present time my daughter, Ann Harris, is in critical condition due to a bite of a brown recluse spider.

Ann is coming along well. She has been home abt. 5 weeks now and Pa is becoming a doctor. She was in a wheechair and is in a walker and we are working with a quad cane. She is through with physical therapy. And at the time, is going to wound therapy. Prayers do work & thanks for all of them.

Done..thanks! I hope to get to adding more graves after Christmas. I had an accident and have been unable to walk for a while so I have been slowed down but I am still determined to get all of the visible graves added!!! C J Smith

Re: Polly Collins
You are correct, Steve. (There's no need for all caps because maiden names automatically appear in italics when the name is properly inserted in box for maiden name.)

Sorry about your daughter
So sorry about the spider bite. I myself was bitten by a very large "wood spider" when I was a child. It had crawled into my bedroom slipper, and when I put my foot in, it bit my toe. It had a very strong effect on me for many years...I always made sure there was nothing in my shoe before I put my foot in it after that.

RE: Polly Collins and Wealthy Collins
I am fine with that, I have never seen anything to say it should be done one way or the other...

But I do think that if you were to look at most of the other "Postings" on Find A Grave...that you would not see it done that way..but if it is what you want to do, I am happy for you to do it that way....As I said, I have not seen any instructions telling you how this should be done. Have a great day.

****FIND A GRAVE will not allow this photo( which I now have set as my profile photo) to be placed in the photo area of memorials. Why? Because Find A Grave feels it is not an image that is personally attached to the deceased.
I as a wife of a Veteran and the grandmother of an active soldier feel the USA FLAG is personally attached to every veteran, after all they fought to defend it and served under this "image" IF that is not a personal attachment to the deceased veteran, then what is folks? So to the veteran's families who I had include this flag of HONOR to their memorial it was NOT removed by me but by Find A Grave. I am truely sorry that we can't show the image of our American Flag, that Veterans proudly served under, at half mask which is a sign of the quality of being thankful, appreciation for and to honor them.
I shot the photo at the Jacksonville National Cemetery as the US Flag is only at half mask Mon -Friday when a Veteran is being laid to rest. No copywrite was broken as I am the owner of photo.
