Finally done American Mechanics Cemetery..Some of the records were unreadable, some had no names. The person who listed the stones wrote that many of the older ones were broken and unreadable, and some were simple plain crosses so we will never know all who were buried there. But with well over 7,000 names hopefully you can find who you were looking for. If you do find someone, please go to the cemetery home page for the list of cemeteries they were transferred to and contact them. I will gladly change their place of burials or transfer them to you.

Happy Hunting

RE: Ayers
I am sorry if you take offense to my recent message informing you that a duplicate memorial was made by you. When I find duplicate entries for my ancestors, I notify both the original and duplicate creator so that they can decide who will delete one of the memorials. My message is as generic as can be in how I address finding duplicates.

RE: whitecar
Yes, Phila. Memorial Park in Frazer, Chester County, PA. We first tried using a map that showed the area where the graves from American Mechanics' should have been. As shown, all the plaques were modern and uniform, many partially covered. We inquired at the office where they produced the cemetery card showing the remains that are in the Whitecar plot. My husband is the descendant, so they offered to find and flag the plaque. It was probably undisturbed since the re-interment in 1951, and completely overgrown.
Also buried in the same plot, is Rev. Soldier, John Miller. He was Matilda Whitecar's grandfather, 1755-1838.
Thank you for the Find-a-grave memorial!

Hi Joyce, I was not looking for transfers, just adding data that was found for you. But thank you.

Hi, I am back to searching my Rodearmel ancestor's and finding data from obituaries, death certificates, church records that apply to a few of your posts in American Mechanic's for correction or addition.
Thank you, Jane

RE: brass
Hi Joyce,
Yes the Brass family are my relatives. I have not found anything on Viola at all - but the gravestone. You have a record with 1899?
