Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on our family genealogy for many years and it has been a very fulfilling and rewarding time for me. I branched out to this website several years ago because I found it quite interesting. I have many many more entries to make and to complete. It has provided the opportunity to meet family members from everywhere and to renew relationships between family members which is what I am most proud of. I look forward to hearing from anyone who might have any comments or information regarding any entries made. Also, if you stop by, please let me know because I would like to know who you are and would like to visit with you. This is a work in progress so please bear with me as information is added. I would appreciate if no one would add pictures or information without contacting me first as I have many of my own that I wish to add without cluttering the entries.
Furthermore, I have been asked several times about transferring records. It is my policy not to transfer records. I do not ask to have records transferred and would appreciate not being asked to transfer records. This work is my own which I am willing to publicly share with anyone and everyone. It is like asking an author to transfer ownership of the book they have been writing to someone who hasn't done all of the research and the work involved. Sorry for any misunderstanding or inconvenience but this is my policy that I must abide by. However I have and may make exceptions based on the situation.
Also, for any decent fellow Find-A-Grave people, BEWARE, as there are those out there on these memorials who are only into numbers and they dont care if their information is accurate or not. Some of them have gone as far as to be labeled as "harassing", "rude" "stalkers", and you cannot reason with them because all they do is cite rules for their benefit especially if it is rules they have made up that only apply to themselves. If they truly cared about Find-A-Grave then they would be want to make changes for the good, but they only threaten with going to the administration, a very childish tactic. If I receive any more e-mails from these people, I will simply ignore them and advise that you do the same.

I added a pic of my brother
Hi Brent,

Bret L. Satterfield was my older brother and I added a pic of him during his naval service, all grown up. :) I love the school pic (I have seen that one before) and the toddler pic with our Dad. Thanks for posting his obituary and everything.

Thank you for the picture of Myrtle Spencer and Miss Airy. I have always been interested in Genealogy and now Find-A-Grave has enriched me with more avenues to follow. As finding you was great. I agree 100% of the bio and your authorship is yours and it should stay that way, unless real close relatives needs to take over and follow through with the transfer. Between the Ornes and Petrees I enjoyed my youth, as they taught me respect, trust honor and most of all love for others. yes Bonnie Crossgrove I visited often, up on the way to and from school.

Friend
I hope you don't mind that I added you as a friend. I saw your response to the rude contributor and was so pleased that you put her in her place. There is another one out there by the name of Elizabeth. Beware! She acts psyco!

Your profile
I just read your profile page. These words are quite true. Its a shame you don't follow them.

"If they truly cared about Find-A-Grave then they would be want to make changes for the good,"

PS, you are right, there are others who also react badly when told that they've made mistakes. There are also 100s who are glad to correct their mistakes with no complaints at all.

I also noticed that AJ has warned you about duplicates.

Thanks for the suggestion to read what others have said on your page.

Burial Unknowns
The SACs I sent you are duplicates because there is a memorial for the person in a cemetery.

I realize they are noted as "Cremation - ashes given to family" but that doesn't mean that the family didn't subsequently bury the ashes in a cemetery and put up a headstone. Should you bother to look at the original memorial in its proper location, you'll see a lovely photo of the stone.

"If that is "unknown" then you clearly have no understanding of final dispositions and you must be incompetent!" Given the circumstances it surely isn't me that is "incompetent". LOL

"I would like to know who made you the Find-A-Grave police/nazi! I take extreme offense to your constant badgering and I will not tolerate it."

The creator of the website has put in place a system by which errors can be brought to the attention of the contributor and to the admins, if the contributor ignores the request. Duplicates are against the Find A Grave rules. If you find this offensive, that is your problem, not mine.

"As I personally have been a funeral professional for more than 20 years and familiar with state law and dispositions, I believe I know alot more about it than you do."

Considering you think that "Cremation - ashes given to family" means there is no burial site, ever, I guess you don't actually know as much as you should. Any "funeral professional" I have dealt with has offered various options if cremation is chosen. Given to the family is only one.

More than glad to go directly to the admins with your errors if you'd prefer to not have the opportunity to fix them.

Good luck.
