Matthis, aka Matts, Tyson
I took a photo of the stone when I taveled to PA about 1982. Shockingly, the stone was actually in decent shape back then, despite the 216 yr history. However, I do not have an imager, so I cannot upload the photo. Yes, as others have mentioned, the photo here is not for the Matthias Tyson who died in 1766. By the way, on his gravestone, it read Matts, perhaps that was his nickname?

Your grand parents
You have very nice memorials of your grandparents. Is that right? They died just a couple of weeks apart? Must have been very hard for your family.

Chicago Mayor. Served as Mayor of Chicago from 1854 to 1855.

- Am I reading this right? He died in 1848 but was mayor 1854-1855? Are dates transposed?

Matthias Tyson Lower Skippack Mennonite Cemetery,PA
I found a Mathias Tyson but the dates don't match. I have born January 12,17??-April 6,185? on the one I found he is the husband of Sarah.

Birthdate should be Oct. 27, 1832 instead of 1862. Thank you.

Information on Samuel Neill Brobeck
I have contacted the Jerome Township recorder and found she has the old books on the cemeteries. Lot 180 has 3 sights on it in Jerome Township Cemetery. They were purchased by Samuel Neill Brobeck. Only one marker is located on the lot and it is for Margaret E. Brobeck and reads mother, 1868-1929. There is documentation that Samuel is buried their but there is no marker. They will probe the lot and see if there is anyone buried in the other 2 sights.
The recorder also told me the records for the cemetery start back in Jan. 1918 as the first burial and the same person buried the deceased in Jerome Township & Pleasant Hill Cemetery until June 1937. He is listed as being H. Brobeck.

Unable to fulfill this request
I am sorry but there is no listing in the Pleasant Hill or Jerome Township Cemetery for Mahala Brobeck. I did find in research that she died in Steubenville Ohio 6-17-1847 at the age of 37. Maybe she is buried there. Henry is however buried in Pleasant Hill.
Sorry I will not be able to fulfill your request. If she is in this cemetery there is no marker and no listing in the township records.
