|I have been researching our family's genealogy for over 24 years now. I've lost so many loved-ones in the past 10 years, that I want to assure their names are permanently recorded in cyberspace. Who knows, perhaps 50 to 100 years from now, someone of my lineage will want to know about them as I am searching for those who've gone on before us.|

|Vonna||RE: Princess Chapel Cemetery|
You have to give me more information, like a memorial that you are referring to, an area, etc. Is this one of my photo requests or have I posted in that cemetery?
Glad to help when I can orient myself. Look forward to hearing from you! Vonna

Thanks for the info on Ella Lawson. I didn't even know a headstone photo had been posted. The year of death was wrong too.

I have never heard of "Burlington City Cemetery" but my guess would be Pine Hill Cemetery, as it is the main cemetery in Burlington, and is owned and maintained by the city. Check out link below. There is a phone number listed at the bottom that would probably connect you to someone who could answer your question. Good luck.

Are you kin? I will gladly transfer this memorial to you. I set out with the full intention of photographing ALL of the Jeffries in this cemetery not realizing HOW MANY of them there were!!! But if you would like I can go back and try to find certain ones again....its not too far from my home. Let me know. Blessings!! Kathy

I'll try that - but I've added a few more memorials to it. You're right - there doesn't seem to be a way to change a cemetery's name - I added "New Hope" in Macon county this week and it won't let me do anything to the name though I can change the description, etc.
I'll make a Dozier Thicket and move memorials = then I guess you can ask Find A Grave to delete the other cemetery by emailing them at email@example.com. Hope that works.

Hey, Sandi - I see you "opened" this cemetery. I believe it is called Dozier Thicket or Dozier Cemetery. I would like to add several members of the Boone family to it. Do you have a way to amend the name of the cemetery? Please let me know.

I know exactly how you feel. My husband has a great-great grandmother that was buried in a cemetery in South Carolina and they moved the graves so they could make a golf course where the cemetery was. The graves were moved, and many of them no one knows where they were moved to. It is very upsetting to me and my husband how they could do something like that and not even contact the families of the loved ones. These days people think that money is more important than remembering the loved ones that we have lost. To us you could not put a price on a loved one! This problem is happening in a lot of areas where there are family cemeteries, and it seems like a lot of people just don't care any more. This is why we think Find A Grave is so valuable to have. At least with Find A Grave there are records and pictures to record as many cemeteries as possible. I know you will never get all of them, because many of them are already gone, that is the reason why I think many of our loved ones can not be found. Wish there was some kind of law or something to preserve all of these cemeteries even the little family owned, just like the federal land that the government has. We need to document all the cemeteries while we are still able to. If I come across any cemeteries like that, I'll let you know. Again thank you very much for your help and bringing it to my attention.
