I am a homemaker. I am married, no children. My hobbies include genealogy among other things. I have other interests also. I volunteer for our library by delivering library materials to people who are homebound. I love to read and play computer games (those that challenge my mind).|
I have decided I won't be contributing memorials to FindAGrave, except for those who pass away from my church, the Church of St. Bridget in Glassboro, NJ. I will, however, correct any that need correcting, so please e-mail me. I will also transfer any memorials to those who request them.
I don't know why there's a statement on my Profile page stating that I'm a photo volunteer. That's not true. I have done a few photos, but am NOT a photo volunteer.
I have been back on F. A. G. for some time now and have been trying to add information from the new Edit column. I'm doing the best I can.
Sometimes I do get Suggest A Correction in the traditional way and that's fine, however, if you DON'T list an e-mail address or LEAVE A PUBLIC MESSAGE statement and I have a question, I can NOT get back to you.
If I can't get back to you, I may not be able to do what's suggested.
NOTE: LEAVING A PUBLIC MESSAGE IS FINE. FOR SOME REASON, THIS IS NOT SHOWN UNDER MY PROFILE.
NOTE: As of 2/14/2014, I have a new keyboard and it makes a lot of mistakes(after all, I can't be making them). So if any of you find anything weird on my entries, please just let me know. Like for instance, if I leave a letter out of a word.

Did you know that you can save the flower tokens in your scrapbook? Jean Nelson was my husband Aunt, so I added her before the obit was in the newspaper.
Gotta be quick to have your own family.
Have a good evening,

You're so welcome. It's an honor and privilege to sponsor him. No, I didn't know him. Veterans simply hold a special, special niche in my heart.
Have a good weekend. Fondly, Suse

Thank you Joan. You are a classy lady.
I didn't get your first message, I'll keep an eye out for it.

Good stories about the names of your ancestors. Tell hubby that they were pirates and they will haunt him if he doesn't____ (fill in the blank).
My g-g grandfather was John "Black Jack" Gallagher. There were so many John Gallaghers in Charlestown, Co. Mayo, that his name was useless for identification. They all had to have nick names.
Nice working with you.

Good Morning Joan,
You're welcome for the photo. Glad I could help.
I sent a SAC for the date on his marker. Have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

That little feature is the greatest. I've linked my family back to my great grandfather in a little cemetery in Co. Sligo.

I'll look at it and see what I might be able to do.

We are cleaning up the dupes in this cemetery and we have been taking what is noted in the VA records for dates. On ones like this where there are differing dates, best suggestion is use either one then put in a photo request on the marker. That'll give the answer!
Appreciate you getting these updates done. Have taken down over 2,000 dupes in this cemetery and still have a good number to go!

If the dates were different and I sent a correction, I looked it up at the Department of Veterans Affairs first. Basically yes, at least from what I was told they imported a couple of million records without checking for duplicates. We are trying to help them get the database cleaned up.

I don't explain things well :) That is what my email was about. The purpose of the edit was to make your memorial and the other exactly the same in name an date. When there are a large number of duplicates, as this cemetery has, findagrave has a program they call the "deduper" that will catch identical memorials, delete the newest and keep the original. We are making the edits so this program can be run effectively.
