Bio Photo NOTE: I am happy to transfer memorials to family members and/or friends so don't hesitate to ask!

As I'm sending a number of you changes* for your pages, additions, etc., please know that I do thank you even if I don't send each of you a thank you - THANKS to you all. (*The changes I'm finding are in the "Variety Obituaries" series of books.)

Author of "The Stars of Hollywood Forever," "The Stars of Hollywood Forever: 1901-2006" and most recently "The Stars of Hollywood Forever - A Who's Who of Hollywood's Final Resting Place" and "The Stars of Hollywood Forever Revisited."

* A note from Find a Grave: Tony's book is highly recommended. Wonderfully detailed and accurate. I've been using it for years...and it's been updated by the author regularly!

RE: William Ward Maynor
Sounds like it must be hot - I know they kill the token/flowers off for like 3 Finger Hamilton who's buried in the Oswego Township Cemt. (My home town) There is no marker, but he's listed on Findagrave. He was with the Dillinger Gang - he was shot and killed, buried in a shallow grave by the train tracks (my mother was a little girl then). They moved him to the cemetery to an unmarked grave...
So it sounds like William Ward Mayor could have a little history with him - heart attack in a restaurant...in Hollywood...

William Ward Maynor
Thought you would find this interesting... The flowers/token has been turned off on this memorial. Got the following information... Sounds like true Hollywood...
William W. Maynor had a daughter, Virginia Maynor, who became an actress, changing her name to Asa Maynor. She married Edd "Kookie" Byrnes in 1962; they had one son, Logan, and were divorced in 1971 “partially because of his reliance on drugs and alcohol.”

Did you know this???

Cullins
Thanks so much for the Variety bio of "Pop" Cullins. It inspired me to do a number of updates for his family. I am acquainted with his granddaughter, Jane Cullins Sanderson, and have written an Arcadia Publishing book about Memphis Movie Theatres which mentions the contributions of Chalmers and Ed Cullins. For the record, they booked many well-known African-American entertainers at both the present Orpheum Theatre (in the 1930s) and at the W C Handy Theatre (another partner was Kemmons Wilson, founder of Holiday Inns). The Idlewild Theatre was white; the Savoy and Handy theatres were "colored" but two of the better operated of those theatres all in Memphis. Another partner was Nate Evans, orchestra leader at the Orpheum who worked there with Chalmers many years. Check Chalmers' memorial (or the book) for a couple of interesting tales.

Delilah Caler Miller
Delilah Caler Miller (#69830452) in Angelus Rosedale Cemetery (CA) is my 2nd GreatGrandmother. I would appreciate it very much if you would transfer her page to me.

In addition, the 4 Calers in the same cemetery (and on the same headstone):
Francis Marion Caler # 69830402
Barbara M Caler # 69830408
Nanie L Caler # 69830441
Naomi A Caler # 69830429

are her son, DiL & grandchildren. I would appreciate transfers of them as well.

There was a rumor that she had died in CA, but I did not have any confirmation of that until I saw your listing for her. Thank you very much! Especially for the headstone picture. :)
