My daughter Trena died by suicide in 1999. I am still struggling with the whys. My Neice died by suicide in 1993. These two girls were cousins. My sister and I have a bond that will never be severed because we have both lost a daughter to suicide. I dont like people to say "committed suicide" it sounds like a crime. They died by suicide. It is not a crime. Thanks to all of you for visiting our Trena's site.

RE: thank you
Yes, the Grimmetts are from the Magnolia area. In fact, I am in college in Magnolia. Yes, there was a Daisy. I was able to meet her before she died in 2003. Johnnie's parents were John W. and Georgia Marlar Grimmett. John W. was married twice and had 23 children. I have a picture of John, Georgia, and his/their children. I also have a picture of the whole family, children and grandchildren (this one includes Cecil and Carl). If you want me to e-mail the pictures and some Grimmett family history, I will gladly do so.

Have a wonderful evening,
Katie

RE: thank you
Hello! You're welcome. I've wondered if we were related and if y'all were descendants of the Grimmetts from Port Barre. Benjiman Grimmett, my great-grandfather, had some brothers that moved there from south Arkansas. I know now that I must be related to your husband. Your husband's grandfather, Lary Grimmett, must be my great-grandfather's brother. However, I always found him listed as Johnnie instead of Lary. I know it must be the same person though. I have a Grimmett family picture taken in the 1920s that includes Johnnie Grimmett. His wife Cecil Lear Grimmett is sitting in front of him holding Carl Grimmett. I have more information on the Grimmetts if you or your husband are interested.

God Bless,
Katie Grimmett
