archabald allen I went through the Port Bryon cemetery today on Cherry street, I could not find his grave stone either. My husband is a relative to archie. We have been doing a lot of geanology onthe Allens
ALLEN OK, I WENT BACK OUT AND FOUND THE CEMETERY.....I'M SORRY TO SAY THAT THE HEADSTONES ARE ALL IN VERY BAD SHAPE, TO THE POINT THAT YOU CAN'T READ 99% OF THEM, AND THE ONES THAT YOU CAN ....AREN'T HIM. I'M AT A LOSS FOR WHAT TO DO TO HELP YOU.....THIS CEMETERY IS OBVIOUSLY VERY OLD AND NOT KEPT UP VERY WELL AT ALL...I'M SORRY.
I'M HAVING SOME TROUBLE HERE, I WENT TO LOOK FOR THIS HEADSTONE FOR YOU TODAY AND I AM AT A LOSS. I WALKED THE CEMETERY FOR OVER AN HOUR AND COULDN'T FIND IT. I WALKED THROUGH OAK GROVE AND FAIRVIEW, THERE IS NO STONE OR RECORD OF HIM EVEN BEING BURRIED THERE. I THEN WENT TO THE TOWN HALL AND SPOKE WITH A GENTLEMAN THAT DOES EXTENSIVE WORK WITHIN THE CEMETERIES AND I ALSO SEEN A RECORD OF EVERY PLOT THAT BEEN THERE AS OF 1974, AND HE DOESN'T APPEAR ON THEIR LIST...DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER INFORMATION THAT WOULD HELP ME CONNECT HIM WITH YOU? I'M LOOKING AT THE PICS OF THE CEMETERY ON THIS SITE AND THEY DON'T EVEN LOOK THE ONES THAT I VISITED....BUT I DID COME ACROSS A COUPLE MORE ALLEN'S...GEORGE AND ELIZABETH ALLEN AND A CARRIE ALLEN THAT WAS MARRIED TO A h.k SIMONSON...IF THEY BELONG TO YOU, LET ME KNOW, AND I'LL FORWARD PICS TO YOU OR UPLOAD THEM.
