Jeremiah Stone Family
I recently photographed the William E. Stone cemetery which is located off Stone's Chapel Road in Elk Creek. This cemetery is also known as Stone's Chapel Methodist church cemetery according to the Grayson County cemetery books. When I was uploading the photos to Find A Grave, I noticed that several of the Stone family listed for that cemetery belonged in another cemetery which was listed in the Grayson Co. cemetery books as the Jeremiah Stone Cemetery. The Jeremiah Stone Cemetery was not on Find A Grave, and the cemetery which I had photographed was on Find A Grave as the Stone Farm (private cemetery). I'm not sure where the confusion started, but there were already some photographs added to the Stone Farm cemetery by Lonesome Drifter, and that is also where I added my photos and created other memorials. I'm not sure who originally created the Stone Farm cemetery on Find A Grave; but, to help solve this problem, I added Jeremiah Stone Cemetery to Find A Grave (from the recordings in the cemetery books). Could you transfer the memorials created by you--Jeremiah Stone, Susannah Stone, Elizabeth Stone, and Kenley C. Stone--to the Jeremiah Stone Cemetery? The cemetery may take a day or two to appear on the Find A Grave site since I just created it. Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Ava Mae Carico
Ava Mae Carico #142216949,is listed as buried at Pleasant Hill Meth. Church in Elk Creek Grayson, Cty. There is also the same information for Ava Mae Carico #101269733 at Lebanon UMC Cem. Elk Creek,Grayson Cty.
Both list her husband as L. E. Carico.
Is Pleasant Hill & Lebanon UMC the same cemetery?
I am also sending the same question to the person who listed her at Pleasant Hill in hopes the question can be resolved.
Thanks, D

Charlotte Pool Burris
At the Old Pool Cem, Grayson Cty, Va. you have #101682133 listing for Charlotte. At the Jerusalem Cemetery she is also listed #101635353. Her Va. death certificate says she is buried at Jerusalem. Did you find a marker for her at the Old Pool? I'm confused. Can you help me figure this out?
Thanks, D

Old Pool Cemetery
Did you know that the Old Pool Cemetery that you
have listed on Briar Patch Mountain is already
listed as the Poole-Burris Cemetery (Spring Valley)Grayson County, Va. P.L. Holt has listed most of the names at this P-Burris cemetery. Could you merge your information and directions please. It is really confusing to think there are 2 of them but they are one and the same.
Thanks,
D

Fielden Kenley Warrick
I have posted a photo of Kenley Warrick that belonged to my GGG-grandfather Padgett 1837-1909. They lived near each other and quite possibly were in the same Confederate regiment together.

Capt Aaron Iii Cooke
I'm a little confused about this record. There is another find a grave memorial for Aaron Cook(e) found at Memorial # 14216597 that shows his burial place as Old Hadley Cemetery, Hadley, MA. Since I am not familiar with the Bridge Street Cemetery, I don't know if this location has two names. A photo on the other memorial shows a cemetery sign that says Old Hadley.

Any clarification would be helpful.

Thanks
Lynda

Might it be possible that the location of this stone is actually Summerfield United Methodist Church (not far from Elk Creek)? Matilda is buried there. When I photographed her stone for a Find A Grave request, I also recorded the stone next to hers. It looks identical to the photo shown here.
