 | William T. Mechling You asked about Hattie Belle Mechling. Is that the same person as Harriet B Mechling? I took a picture of her grave and created a memorial for Harriet (1893-1987). I also took a picture of Richard W Mechling (1933-2008). The 3 graves are all together so I assumed they were related. If you want to manage any of these, I will be happy to transfer them to you. I hope this helps you. Jim Morell | | | Cindi Sammon Simonson

 | William Swanson Well we have had some really nice weather, and I think that a nice walk is in order, I typed up the list for 36 requests for Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing, and I will see what we can do for you and everyone else. I know how important it is, especially when you live so far away and just can't drive over and visit their final resting place. So I will let you know what I find. Now if you could email me the information you placed in the note for William R. Swanson that you are looking for, I will get on it for you. Have a good day! | RE: # 98917351 J H MECHLING stone Hi Caral,
I went to the memorial you referenced, #98917351, but I have not posted a photo to it. Possibly you meant the memorial of Joshua J. Mechling (80006924) at Leith cemetery? The wife listed on the stone is Rebecca (nee' Summers).

 | RE: William W Hanby Hi Caral, Yes, William Webster Hanby 1827-1897 was the husband of Amanda Overholt, 1834-1901 Ohio. They were the parents of Sarah Ann Hanby 1858-1905 born Ohio, and she married Jesse Mechling 1851-1936 in Perry Co, OH in 1883. Other children of William and Amanda Hanby were: John Jefferson, Joseph Clinton, Alma Frances, Lincoln Elsworth, William G., Benjamin Franklin, Alta Benson and David Webster Hanby.
William Webster Hanby was born in Brandywine Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware on Dec 27, 1827. He was the son of John Hanby 1794-1842 and Sarah Abbott 1796-1889 who emigrated from Brandywine Hundred, Delaware to Perry Co., Ohio sometime btwn 1827-1830 with their 4 children, Eliza Ann, Martha, William Webster Hanby and Samuel Grace Hanby. Also other members of their extended family immigrated to Ohio at the same time, namely: Richard Grubb and Elizabeth Hanby Grubb and children (Aunt of John Hanby); John's sister Margaret Hanby Grubb and husband George Grubb; John's brother, George Hanby and wife Martha Abbott, sister of Sarah Abbott - (Hanby brothers, John & George married sisters Sarah and Martha Abbott). These 3 siblings; John, George and Margaret were all the children of William Hanby 1769-1847 and Sarah Elizabeth Webster Hanby 1770-1833. Although their 3 children moved west, William and Sarah Elizabeth did not move, but stayed in Brandywine Hundred, DE. My GGGGgrandfather, John Hanby 1782-1830 was a sibling of William Hanby and Elizabeth Hanby whose descendants now live in Ohio. One of John's son was William C. Hanby who had a son named William H. Hanby who resided in Brandywine Hundred, New Castle Co., Delaware who you mention in your note.
William H. Hanby 1835-1885 Within the descendants line of John Hanby 1782-1830 and his wife Charity Grubb Hanby was their grandson William H. Hanby 1835-1885 who was serving in the Civil War in July 1863, and whose wife Sarah Jane Bullock filed for his pension in Delaware in 1891. They had at least 10 children and they remained in the Delaware County, Pennsylvania and New Castle County, Delaware area throughout their lifetime.
