I do genealogical research and love to go to cemeteries. Valhalla Cemetery is 10 mins. from my house so I go there a lot.Other cemeteries I go to are Forestlawn - Hollywood Hills, Forestlawn - Glendale, Mt. Sinai - Hollywood Hills, Grandview -Glendale, Los Angeles National Cemetery, Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood and sometimes to Ft. Rosecrans National Cem. in San Diego.My pride and joy is doing research on all the Burbank boys who were killed in WWII, Korea & Vietnam from the City of Burbank who are listed on our local war memorial and also the boys from the City of Glendale, California that were killed. I aslo enjoy taking pictures of Medal Of Honor Headstones. The Surnames I am researching are: Mustion, Hilton, Miller,Coursey, Overturf, Cordell, Crouch, Longnecker, Freeland, Coldiron, Edwards, Hansen, Woodson, Jarrett, Arman, Vernor, Perry, Lock. | |

Hi Carole:
Thanks so much for your excellent photo of my grand-uncle John Harry Lihner's gravestone at Forest Lawn Cemetery. He was the brother of my maternal grandmother Mary Lehner Weiss who died when my mother was less than 2-years old. I have never met anyone from the Lehner side of the family, so do appreciate your photo. John Lihner changed his name from the birth one listed in the 1900 US Census -- Isaac Lehner.
