**If you email me for any correction, please put in the subject line Find a grave**
A dear neighbor got me interested in cemeteries while I was a child, she, her daughter and myself use to do Sunday drives and along the way we always stoped at a local cemetery.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there; I did not die.
If I should not be with you when the next sun sets,
Don't mourn.I've had a lot of sunsets, and I've loved them all.
But I have had such splendid things to love,
You'll know I've had my share.
Just reach out to the world:
Embrace it for me.
Grab joy, but let it shine; it may be all that's left of me Still shining.
And when rain dances, know thatI will be the dancing.
Don't forget: I love you always. Still.

|Preservationist||Lydia Danbury Sherman|
Lydia Sherman 1824-1878 was my Great Granduncle Horatio Nelson Sherman (whom she poisoned) along with three of his four children had by his first marriage to Mary Snow Jones.
Lydia Danbury/Hurlbut/Struck was married at my Great Grandparents house in the 1860s. Her third husband (and my Gr.Granduncle) was always called Nelson. He is buried in, I believe, Connecticut and his memorial can be found here at Find a Grave.
His only child to survive his marriage to Lydia "the serial killer" was his son Horatio Nelson Jr. whose Great Granddaughter Whitney Sherman of Baltimore is in touch with me and a rather well-known illustrator. Google her name.
My email is firstname.lastname@example.org

I do not know the area so I would be of no help but if you think it's possible that it's FairLawn instead of Fairview could you contact them? All I know is I requested a photo of Virginia Fagg's marker and the volunteer contacted the cemetery office for location purposes and they told her that Virginia wasn't in their records and she wasn't listed at their sister cemetery either (Cedar Lawn). Maybe the records are not updated or it never got documented? It's a mystery to me:). I know these things happen as Sherwood Burial Park told us many times that three graves we were looking for where not in their records even though older family members kept telling us they were buried there. Long story short...in 1960s when I81 was under construction the cemetery had to be moved but since VaDOT said no bones were discovered (?) the family had a marker placed at Sherwood but it's not listed as a burial but as a memorial ( that was resolved in early 1990s)! It's so great to have Find A Grave and online resources now:)

Hi Laurie, I posted a picture of his marker to your memorial from 2008. His wife Rachel is buried right beside him.
|kDeatonBrown||Virginia Fagg Find A Grave problem|
You are the contributor to her burial memorial page at FairLawn Cemetery and I requested a photo to fill out my mothers cousins family of which Virginia was her infant daughter. I just got a reply from Find A Grave and there is a problem...according to the cemetery office this burial is not in FairLawn cemetery or it's sister cemetery, Cedar Lawn. May I ask where you obtained this burial information so maybe we can get this issue corrected? Maybe wrong cemetery information?
Thank you. Birth date added.
