Bio and Links
I was born in Roseburg, Douglas County, Oregon in 1938, and my ancestors roots are very deep in this county, most of the arriving between 1852-1880. I have always loved history and about 10 years ago, with the urging from a friend, decided to put some flesh on the bones of those brave souls who came to Oregon for reasons unknown to me, probably the thought of free land. This has been an amazing journey.

Was so glad to find her! My "Emma Davis" has been a mystery for I know to whom she belonged and that they are side by side.

Murray Cemetery
Dear Lorelee,
I was pleased to read your comment about your pioneering family. I am curious if we are related. My great grandparents are buried in the Murray Cemetery. Their names are Zachary Taylor and Effie Estelle Murray. Their son, Cecil Paul Murray was the father of my Mom, Marilynn Mae Murray Austin. She was born in 1922 and just passed away on Thanksgiving Day 2013 at the age of 91.
I would love to communicate with you. I live in Bend, Oregon.
My email mail address is:

Thanks and blessings,
Carolynn Mae Austin Mintz

Solomon Ady
Hi Lorelee
I've recently received some family research and found Solomon Ady is a son of Eloyd Ady through a second marriage. I've created a site for Eloyd at: Find A Grave Memorial# 101231136. Can you list Eloyd as his father?

Crocketts in Pleasant Valley
Lorelee, I just sent you an edit on Joh Crockett. Ignore it, it's is incorrect. Shellim was the Father of Elmer Crockett, who started the South Bend Tribune (So John was his brother).

Your plot numbers for this cemetery are so helpful! I'm using them as coordinates to verify a stone. Do you have plot numbers for Janus Ireland (d.1842) and James Ireland, Sr. (d. 1831)?

Sally Ireland - Pleasant Valley Cemetery
Thank you so much for having some Samuel and Sally's children's (Luesa Jane and Sally) memorials (and other family members) up on Find a Grave and knowing the location of there plots. Sally and Luesa would have been my Grandmother's aunts (had they lived) and in her writings she has Sally being born and dying in 1841. No day or month given. Thank you again for your time and effort in helping me connect with my family of yesteryear :) Take Care - Karen

Hi Lorelee! I see you have Moses and Sarah Dyer too, and have connected them. Are you related?

Murray Cemetery
Do you know who's property Murray Cemetery is on? I live in Camas Valley and didn't know it existed; now that I do I will go take pictures for FindAGrave.
