I been interested in family history pretty much all my life. My Grandmother basically raised me and interested sparked when she talked about the "Good ol' days" and people and places of the past. She was an amazing storyteller. Please feel free to leave flowers for my interments. Glad to transfer ownership of my memorials if they are of your family.Surnames on my Father's side:>Weekley (Baldwin County, Alabama)>Jones (Escambia>Conecuh>Butler County, Alabama)>Havard (Baldwin County, Alabama>George County, Mississippi)>Fleming (Monroe County, Alabama)>Kendrick, Cook & Skinner (Conecuh>Butler County, Alabama)Surnames on my Mother's side:>Quinley/Quinnelly & Johnson (Baldwin>Conecuh County, Alabama)>Hinson (Clarke>Lauderdale County, Mississippi)>Boykin(Choctaw County, Alabama)>Lott (Fairbury, Nebraska>Clinton County, Michigan)>Carson (Andrew>Buchannan County, Missouri
Wm Wiley Jones I just found your message on find-a-grave . I have not been able to connect my Wiley to your Raleigh Jones or Joseph Jones ,Sr ., or anyone except his children and wife. I recently saw a bible entry naming Wiley as Wilson Wiley Jones , so the gravesite might very well be a different Wiley . It does have his dates right tho . There were several with that name in the area . I do have records that show my gr-gr-granma Matilda Blan/Jones/Morris was made guardian over property for my gr-granma Mary Anne Jones and her siblings , within the same year that Joseph Jones , Sr. passed away . I really believe the property came from Joseph's estate but I don't have proof . Joseph had a son named Wiley but his age would make him older than my Wiley. I'm thinking my Wiley was a grandson of Joseph but still can't make the connection. Joseph Jones was a very wealthy old man . His divorce from Anne gave her a huge monthly allowance....even by today's standards . I saw the court records in the Pike Co., Al courthouse a few years ago.
RE: Fleming I know... We have corresponded before but I have not had correspondence with you in a long time. I visited the cemetery this past April and I finally met the family that lives in the house next to the cemetery. May Bell Wilson lives there and she is the great grand daughter of Thomas Fleming and Mary Jane Ward; granddaughter of John Hunter and Victoria Melson Fleming (my grandmother's brother) and May Bell is the daughter of Richard and Barbara Fleming Stacey.
Photos of Lewis/Martha Young I contacted someone once before but the issue wasn't resolved and I don't remember who I talked to but the photos I have of Lewis and Martha Young don't appear to be the same as the ones you posted on FINDAGRAVE. What is the origin of your photos? I am a descendent of Lewis/Edward/John Franklin and the photo I have hung in John Franklin's hallway forever and we were under the assumption that it was Lewis. I don't think our photos are of the same person? PLEASE HELP!
The memorial you created on 10.08.2004 shows Sarah's birth place as Fall River. It is actually Somerset, MA. The memorial is now managed by "anonymous." An edit was sent by has never been attended to. I was wondering if you have the contact info for "anonymous" so this correction can be made?
