Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have 12 direct ancestors buried in Sturdivant Cemetery, Palo Pinto Co., TX - including my parents. I am biologically related to a third of the burials, and when collaterals are considered, I am related to over half of them. I have photographed all of the stones/markers in the cemetery. My goal is to include at the find-a-grave listings the plot #s, photos of the individuals buried, data citations and linkages for all of those buried here. Collaborations are welcome!

I am working with the the Southern Memorial Association of Washington County, Arkansas (founded 1873) to improve and manage the memorials in the Confederate Cemetery at Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas. See:

Hey you :) I drove down to Gordon today, There are two Cemeteries.. One is New Gordon and the other is Old I suppose.(the old one doesnt have a name on it)..Neither one of them have the name Fox Mountain on there unless that is the old name for one of em...Uncle Bill, My Aunt Vivian and Uncle Bob are all in the Old Gordon Cemetery..But I couldnt find Grandma..Ill have to do some searching on the Fox Mountain one to see exactly where its located..

Toni, I have a good number of family in this area (Hittson and Griggs). I look forward to see what you find. I'm also enjoying your website.

RE: Oaksie Gill Daniel
One of Oaksie's great grandsons sent me an email, from the Netherlands, that he has the story written by her brother, Mote, Jr. He's sending it to me, so I'll share it with you when I receive it. He said it's very sad, so I'm already pretty stressed over it. She is my cousin and this is new news to my generation in Texas.
Much love,
Vicki Hittson

Toni, do you have a copy of "The History of Palo Pinto, Texas 1986?" If so, does it have the story of how Oaksie and husband John W Daniel died on the same day, possibly of a gun shot?

Much love,
Vicki Hittson

Thank you so much for linking Theodore to his parents. I appreciate that you've taken the time to add the memorials for all these fallen soldiers.
