Turner
Enoch S Turner (1905 - 2005) was born on November 20, 1905. He died on September 2, 2005 at age 99.

Enoch S Turner's last known residence is at Beattyville, Lee County, Kentucky.

From what research I have read, I think Enoch was in the Nursing home in Beattyville.

RE: Turner Family
Linda,

Thanks for the info on Richard. I still can't find much about him. As far as the Turner relatives, Richard married Amanda and they had Vilas, Mary Catherine, Versie, Nora and Bill. I posted a picture of Amanda and her family on her memorial.

When Amanda past, (which I am thinking was childbirth of Bill because of the date), Richard got remarried later to Nannie Francis Tirey. Richard and Nannie had Charles, Enoch (which is Uncle B), and Nellie.

My Grandfather Bill and Enoch were half brothers. I knew Enoch (Uncle B) pretty well. I went to see him in Tampa. My Mom (Almarhea Turner) always kept in contact with him.

Two years I met one of Uncle B's granddaughters. She lives near me in the Franklin/Middletown, Ohio area.

Do you happen to know anything about the death of Amanda? I found it odd that Bill was born on November 13, 1900 and Amanda's death was November 14, 1900. I do remember hearing the Bill was raised by his Grandparents (Amanda's Mom and Dad). I know Bill was very close to Versie. I think she helped raise him also.

Turner Family
Linda,

I am the Daughter of Almarhea Turner Steck. My Grandparents were William (Bill) Turner and Annie Arnold Turner. Bill was the youngest of Amanda Cornelius Turner and Richard L Turner. I am trying to put some pieces of the family history together. Do you have any information on Richard L. Turner?

Thank You!

RE: EJF Marker
Hi Linda, I don't have a photo of Effie Fox's grave for this cemetery. I did all the photography last summer for this graveyard that is way up a mountain. There is another graveyard located directly on Fox Hollar Road and I didn't get to that one. There are some Foxs buried there as well. I have a grave for Grover Lee Fox who died at 3 years old. My mother said he was the son of Bernie and Effie Fox. He fell into a bucket of scalding water and died from the burns. Do you remember hearing this?

I believe that the marker behind Harvey Fox's grave is for Ebbie Jean Fox (1870-1943). She was married to Leander (Lee) Fox my great grandfather.

RE: Grace Fox
Sorry to be so late in responding. Just now saw your message. I don't know about Grace. I just photographed all tombstones in the Cemetery and uploaded them to find-a-grave. My mother is Betty Fox d/o Arch and Mary Fox. She didn't know who Grace was.

RE: Brandenburgs
Hey Linda,

Stella is her name. Her father was Patton Brandenburg. Hope you find the grave you are looking for. I have some of those as well.

RE: Brandenburgs
Linda,

Joseph Brandenburg is my 2nd cousin 3x removed. My cousin Phillip's dad is Denny Brandenburg I think Joseph is his GGfather but I am not for sure. I was looking to see if I had Denny listed on Ancestery with Joseph but I do not. I do have your grandmother Edith. Do you have a tree on Ancestery.com?

RE: Fox Cemetery
Linda,

I think I have already responded to your message but I am not sure. I took photos of all the stones that were marked in the cemetery and I think I have them all on Find a Grave now. There are quite a few that are just stones and there is one I can not read so I emailed it to a cousin to see if he knows who it is. I am told there is a smaller cemetery in the back that is all grown up that just has all stones I am supose to have an uncle there as well but have no idea where with just stones. Sorry I can't be of more help. What is your link to the Brandenburgs?

RE: Fox Cemetery
Linda,

I believe this is the same cemetery. I remember my parents talking about Effie and I think I met her as a child. My parents lived about a mile from them. What kind of information do you need/want. How are you related to the Brandenburgs?
