On ancestry. I think it was in the new wills and probate database.

RE: Ramsells
So, I'm unable to find anything about David, in a few hour search, other than his death. I'm sure you know more than I do. I became a little interested in what became of the family as I saw lots of pages from David's will. Looks as though Margaret and several of the children moved to California and she died there in 1896.

I saw that one of the sons was James Lewyllen who lived/married in Boston. And it looks as though there were quite a few Ramsells there, so I wonder if David started from there and went to Vassalborough.

Anyway, sorry I have nothing new for you on his parents.

His name was Brent; he died a few years ago. They lived in E. Waterboro. It would just be the greatest of coincidences if the Ramsell in the Weeks Cemetery in V. Borough was related to Brent's family.

RE: Ramsell Gravestone Photo
You're welcome. Are you related to the Ramsell family? The reason I ask, is that my husband (who is the Weeks) had a best friend with the last name of Ramsell. My husband knew nothing about the Weeks family in Vassalborough until I started working on his family history. When we first visited the Weeks Cemetery some years ago, we were startled to see the name Ramsell and tried to learn if there was a connection between the Ramsells in V.boro and my husband's friend in southern Maine. I was not able to make a connection, but since I knew very little about the family I wasn't able to get very far.

RE: Alice Brakewell
I just posted a photo for Alice Brakewell as you requested. As you can see, there is a difference in her last name, but I'm pretty sure it's the person for which you are looking. If you believe this is not the correct person, I will gladly remove this photo.

Alexander McWhirter Photo Request
Jennie,

Regarding your photo request for Alexander McWhirter, memorial # 27906399, Beech Ave., plot 696, grave 9 in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn, MA -

On June 10, 2013, Find A Grave member Patricia Shearer, # 47835157, placed a photo of the plot to Alexander's memorial page. On Sep 24, 2014, Find A Grave member Stanley Serwacki, #48278625, reported a problem saying that there was a photo of the Gove family gravestone which is not readable from weathering and that Alexander may have wed a Gove family member.

This morning I went to the cemetery records office and obtained a list of all 16 names that are buried in this plot and photographed all stones in this plot. Alexander does not have a marker for himself although he is listed among the 16 buried there.

In further checking, I have found that Alexander married Clarena Gove and that they had a son, Charles L McWhirter, who died at age 9 months. I have made a request to have these linked.

If you would like a copy of the list of people buried in this plot, let me know and I'll email it to you.

Absolutely you can post it...I took the gravestone photo while I was on vacation in the South.
Thanks for asking,

I checked every tombstone in Section E of Rose Hill and didn't find any for the Haynes family.
