Hi Al, I never had the opportunity to get to know her. I'm glad you did at least we can share memories of her. Al you mentioned that you have a pic of her, is there any way you can get me a copy of that. Contact me at my aol email. Thanks...Joe.
|Joe Montalvo||Montalvo Y Rosado|
Hi Al, Our grandfather was named Ramon Montalvo Y Bracero, our grandmother was named Marcelina or Maria rosado de Montalvo. This is how it was done back in the day. Therefore all of their children are officially known in the records as Montalvo Y Rosado. Our great great grandmother (Ramon's mother) was Calesta Bracero Y Santiago de Montalvo. I'm still researching the name of her husband, our great great grandfather. My research has led me to believe that it was Jose Placido Montalvo Born in La Parguera 10/1/1846.
|Joe Montalvo||Tio Bon|
Hi Al, Tio Bon (Ramon L. Montalvo Y Rosado) was born 08/31/1916. He passed away in Feb. of 1968. At the time he was living with us at 171 South 2nd St. in Williamsburg. I have only vauge recollection of him, he is buried in Puerto Rico, though i'm not sure where. I'm not sure about his wife or children. That info will properly be available only via Health Dept in PR.
The same is true w/tio Francisco (sico) His wife and family still reside in La Parguera.
Tio Leo (Leandro Montalvo Y Rosado) also has info only via PR. There are both a work in progress.
Check out www.Ancestry.com my sister Amy and i have set-up a family tree. Any problems let me know... Joe.

|Joe Montalvo||Tio Che and Tio Luis|
Hi Al, sorry i took so long to get back to you, heres the info you requested and yes i will post a page on both of our uncles. Tio che passed a few months before my father. He got admitted to the V.A. hospital in N.Y. with a mild stroke and unfortunately he wasn't able to recover. he is buried in Brooklyn in a cemetary called Evergreen in the Cypress Hills section of brooklyn. My older brother Frankie is also buried in the same plot.
I'm in the process of getting more info on tio Luis, he also passed i believe in the summer of 1995. He is buried in the same cemetary as my father in a different section. I will be visiting there this weekend and will make a page for him.
I'm having difficulty in posting a pic of my dad with the site, i'll just e=mail to you directly. Your cus..joe.
