I have been doing family research since the late 1970's. I have been associated with the Jefferson County (KS) Genealogical Society, being the organizing President and since served in that capacity two more times. I live in Winchester, Kansas. My wife, Marie and I have been married 62 years. We have four living children, 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. My family research interests are many, but especially Riley, Nettleton, Curry and Fulton. We have many ancestors buried in Atchison and Jefferson Counties, Kansas. In addition, I have served the United Methodist Church as organist for the past 50 years and have served the Winchester and Jefferson County North Schools as statistician for over 60 years. I was the Director of the Winchester Public Library at the time the present building was constructed. |

|Suzi Stukes||searcing for great greay grandfathers name|
PS. My grandfather and grandmother, John Homer Weatherford and Gladys B Metz were the first couple married in the United Methodist Church after it was dedicated.
|Suzi Stukes||fathers name|
I am the great granddaughter of John H Weatherford, grand daughter of John Homer Weatherford, daughter of Barbara Harriet Weatherford Burt. I am in search of the father and mother's names of John H Weatherford, name of fathers father, etc.
Also, whether you know if this Weatherford line is related to William (Red Eagle) Weatherford. The only info I have is that John H Weatherford was born in Kentucky.
My name is Carole Sue Burt
Also, are you related to the Weatherford's?
I thank you in advance for any info you have.

You added a beautiful gravestone photo to a memorial for Lena Vogel June 2014. Some of her descendants were unaware of this gravestone. Unknown to you, a separate findagrave.com memorial had been established using two last names of Racine Vogel (widowed and remarried), her a face photo, and her three given names; so, the two memorials were not readily recognized as the same person until a "coincidence" occurred: the use of her nickname in a son's obituary AND discovering the Vogel memorial with the gravestone photo you'd posted. The two memorials have been merged, and now her extensive descendant family can enjoy finding her face photo, all of her names, and the beautiful old white gravestone on the same memorial, currently managed by a gr-gr-gr granddaughter. Thought you'd enjoy knowing how you made a difference with just one photo - thank you!

Hi Raymond . . . was doing the additions for the Finleys and wanted to make sure that you want the same obit(Clarence's)listed for both Clarence and Maggie. I am leaving it off of Maggie's until I hear back from you. Thanks, Paula.
|D. Goodboe||Re: Obit for Martha Jane Curtis McClellan|
Hi Raymond, thanks for contacting me about Martha's obit. I've had a copy for years but never thought to add it to her memorial page - back when I created it I was thinking it would be a copyright issue, but given that the Chief has been out of business for 100+ years I decided to go for it. Her obit is now posted to her page.
It's very kind of you to reach out like like you did and I appreciate it.

Thank you for the changes on Sarah Thayer. My interest is in her first husband Joseph C Wright, my 1st cousin.

Thank you very much for sending the edit suggestion for my 2nd great grandfather. The obit provided great information and I have added it to his memorial.
Also, I would like to add the obit to my family tree on Ancestry.com. Given your permission, I will credit you as providing it. Please let me know if this is okay.
Thank you very much for taking photos of the Drummond family graves. It is appreciated.
Thank you so much for the transfer, it is really appreciated.
